• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department clinical experience (ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months required)
  
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with emergency medicine experience considered
  
• Valid and active physician license in North Carolina
  
• Required certifications for IM/FM trained physicians: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (AHA)
  
• Comfort using EPIC EMR and collaborating with multidisciplinary hospital teams
  
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to manage high-acuity patients, and proficiency in emergency procedures

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care as an ER physician in a 15-bed ED serving ~80 patients per day
  
• Manage acute admissions (average 11 per day) and coordinate care with hospital medicine, surgery, and specialty services
  
• Document patient encounters and orders using EPIC EMR for timely care coordination
  
• Staff the minor emergency (fast track) section to improve patient flow and throughput
  
• Participate in care delivery at a Primary Stroke Center and support general medical, surgical, and cancer infusion services as needed
