Electrical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join our Electrical Installation Team supporting large mining truck programs. In this role, you'll own end‐to‐end electrical harness and routing designs—from concept through production—working closely with cross‐functional engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
This is a hands‐on, high‐impact role supporting machines tested in Tucson and built in Decatur, IL.
What You'll Do
- Design and route electrical wire harnesses, cables, and associated hardware for large mining trucks
- Develop and review 3D models, schematics, and engineering drawings using Creo, Pro Cabling, and Electric Lines
- Support design reviews, print checking, and detailing activities
- Ensure compliance with company design standards, safety codes, and best practices
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and purchasing teams
- Support cost rollups, FMEA, APQP, and quality initiatives
- Participate in troubleshooting and clearance checks on physical equipment
- Occasionally visit proving grounds and manufacturing facilities
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (accredited program)
- 8+ years of relevant product design experience
- Strong experience with electrical harness design
- Advanced proficiency in Creo, Teamcenter, Pro Cabling / Fluid Lines
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Solid understanding of FMEAs and technical problem‐solving
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- heavy‐equipment experience
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring and cable mounting issues
- 3D clearance checks and Teamcenter Vis Mockup experience
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and manufacturing environments
