Job Description
Robert Half Legal is partnering with a highly respected, mid‑size Northwest law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Downtown Vancouver (WA) office. This firm is well known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated client base, and strong presence across multiple business and industry sectors.
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 DOE.
The Opportunity:
In this role, you’ll provide advanced paralegal support to attorneys handling complex litigation and employment matters, including advice and counseling. The ideal candidate is confident managing cases from inception through trial and appeal and enjoys working closely with attorneys, clients, and legal teams in a fast‑paced, high‑quality practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and case schedules, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local court rules
- Draft and revise pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing records requests, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
- Oversee all phases of discovery, including document review and production, e‑discovery vendor coordination, and strategic support
- Prepare for and support depositions, including compiling and organizing relevant materials
- Lead trial preparation efforts, including exhibits, witness coordination, and courtroom support
- Support employment‑related matters, including familiarity with EEOC procedures and Oregon and Washington state equivalents; assist with position statements, responses to charges of discrimination, and requests for information
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of litigation and trial‑related paralegal experience
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of state, federal, and local court rules and procedures
- Hands‑on experience with discovery management tools and e‑discovery platforms
- Proven success supporting trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and client service skills
- Proficiency with legal technology and document management systems
