Position: Commerical Construction Superintendent

Salary: $190,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or Business preferred (additional experience considered in lieu of degree)
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a general contractor
• Experience with:
• Tenant improvements and renovations
• Service work and projects in occupied spaces
• Fast‑paced projects, weekend work a plus
• Strong understanding of building processes and best practices
• Proven ability to organize labor, tools, and schedules to meet tight deadlines
• Previous experience as a Superintendent or Project Lead preferred
• Proficiency with project and construction software, including:
• Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam

Job Description

The Superintendent is responsible for directing on‑site construction activities in alignment with project schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations. This role serves as the primary on‑site leader and liaison between the project team, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on‑site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements
• Administer and enforce the project safety program for all subcontractors
• Maintain a safe jobsite and support safety inspections and incident investigations
• Maintain daily logs of site activities and conditions
• Manage punch list and closeout processes through owner/architect acceptance
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule
• Ensure proper sequencing, installation methods, and schedule commitments
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and project partners
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and subcontractor scopes to prevent unnecessary change orders
• Identify issues early and implement solutions proactively
• Organize and lead the site team, including temporary facilities and utilities
• Track long‑lead items and expedite as needed
• Partner with project and site operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
