Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Construction Project Manager located in Peachtree City, GA. The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects, managing the project team, budget, timeline, and communication. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, managing subcontractors, monitoring project progress, and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the role involves leading teams, managing resources effectively, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners to achieve seamless project execution.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Review project designs and plans to identify potential issues and risks before construction begins.

Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure the project stays within financial constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to quality standards.
  • Approve purchase orders and monitor the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Approve invoices, manage vendor contracts, and negotiate change orders as needed.

Timeline and Schedule Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor progress regularly, adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate delays or unforeseen issues.
  • Work with Superintendent to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and labor resources to keep the project on track.

Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead and manage project teams, including Southtree staff, subcontractors, and other personnel.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure the team remains focused on project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and meets quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project manager(s) and assistant project manager(s) that are part of your team.

Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

  • Identify potential risks or issues that could impact the project’s success and develop contingency plans.
  • Proactively resolve conflicts, delays, and other challenges that arise during the course of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices, working with the Superintendent to address any safety concerns that arise on-site.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members regarding project updates and progress.
  • Maintain regular communication with all involved parties to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Provide detailed progress reports, status updates, and cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Promptly communicate issues to Southtree management as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Construction Project Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successfully managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management for construction projects.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction-related software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and construction drawings.
