Job Title: Associate Technician, Engineering
Schedule: 3rd Shift β 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (MondayβFriday)
Assignment Type: Contract, project-based (not expected to extend or convert)
Overtime: Not anticipated
Position Summary
The Associate Technician, Engineering provides hands-on technical support to engineers and scientists within a large laboratory environment. This role focuses on executing defined test procedures, documenting results, and supporting root cause investigations for technical events.
This is an entry-level opportunity suited for candidates with an engineering or biomedical background who are comfortable working independently and following established processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on routine lab and testing activities
- Execute established test procedures, including evaluation of electrical and mechanical components (e.g., surgical instruments)
- Collect, document, and report test data using standard tools, including Excel
- Assist with technical evaluations and basic root cause investigations
- Prepare clear and accurate technical documentation and reports
- Follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the broader lab team
- Maintain organization of test materials and lab workspace
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable following detailed procedures and instructions
- High attention to detail and reliability in a lab environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to testing of electrical and/or mechanical devices (surgical instrument experience is a plus)
- Background in engineering, biomedical technology, or related technical field
- Prior laboratory or technical support experience
Education:
- Degree not required; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
Work Environment
- Large laboratory setting (~18 employees across multiple shifts)
- Individual, independent work is a critical component of success in this role
Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented US import Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team.
- This role requires a strong understanding and experience of the following:
- HTS classification
- USMCA certifications and regulations
- U.S. Customs procedures
- U.S. Customs entry writing
- In bond transportation
- Foreign Trade Zones
- Bonded Warehouse
- Partner Governing Agency reporting
- Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn custom software. With a proficient to high level skill in MS Excel.
- Proficiency in English require with Spanish proficiency being a plus.
- Any Data Analytics experience would be a plus.
This position can become remote for the right candidate. However, they will need to start training at the Alpharetta site.

- 5+ years of recent(2022-present) experience with US import Trade Compliance Specialist
- Must have HTS classification
- Must have USMCA qualifications, certifications, and regulations
- Must have U.S. Customs procedures
- Must have U.S. Customs entry writing
- Must have In-bond transportation
- Must have Foreign Trade Zones Must have Bonded Warehouse
- Must have Partner Governing Agency reporting
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Must have the ability to quickly learn custom software.
- Must be proficient to high level skilled in MS Excel.
- Must be proficient in English
