Revenue Cycle Systems Charge Analyst


The Systems Charge Analyst supports Revenue Cycle operations by maintaining accurate and compliant billing systems to ensure revenue integrity. This role analyzes charging, coding, billing, and denial trends, performs root cause analysis, and collaborates with Operations and IT to implement Epic system updates and process improvements.


The Analyst will identify opportunities to improve net revenue, assist with billing issue resolution, provide reimbursement analysis, and develop coverage guidelines to reduce claim denials. This role also reviews current practices, system interfaces, and account audits to support the financial health of the organization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field required
  • 3–5 years of healthcare revenue cycle, financial analysis, or related experience
  • Epic certifications (Resolute Hospital Billing, Charge Router, or Charge Master) preferred
  • Coding or Compliance certification preferred
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines preferred
  • Experience with hospital Charge Master (CDM), billing, or coding
  • Familiarity with managed care, reimbursement, and claim denial management
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or MS Access preferred


Location: Tarrytown, NY

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM

Base Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00

General

    • Conduct regular meetings with all division personnel (clinical, research, and administrative).
    • Conduct regular division meetings on a schedule that maximizes attendance.
  • Understand the local and national forces shaping healthcare in the US and how these forces may influence the future of the discipline.
  • Develop, implement, and update, as necessary, a strategic plan for the division across the MSHS which is aligned with and supports departmental, institutional and health system strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities forgrowth of the division’sclinical, research, and educational programs.
  • Develop division-specific clinical, research, and educational missions and monitor the progress in achieving these missions.
  • Assuredivisional participation in departmental (e.g., Grand Rounds, MorningReport), hospital, and medical school programs and initiatives.
  • Counsel faculty and staff, when necessary, about unacceptable patterns of behavior.
  • Ensure timely completion of faculty evaluations and staff performance appraisals, as appropriate.
  • Communicate and ensure divisional faculty and staff (as appropriate) are in compliance with departmental (e.g., time off approvals, faculty) and institutional (e.g., COIdisclosures, PEAK/CITI training)expectations.

Academic

  • Work with System Chair to recruit new faculty and staff to fulfill the division’s mission and responsibilities.
  • Guide and monitor the academic advancement of divisional faculty (and fellows) by assuring appropriate, timely and effective mentorship, feedback and evaluation.
    • Develop an individual faculty development plan for each faculty member that outlines goals and expectations (clinical, research, and education).
  • Work with physicians, nurses, medical staff and social workers as well as bereavement specialists to provide comprehensive care and psychosocial counseling to those struggling with fetal abnormalities, difficult pregnancies, and fetal loss regularly in partnership with the Perinatal Bereavement Program.
  • Support all individuals across the reproductive spectrum and regularly collaborate with the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Department of Genetics, and other medical subspecialties in the health system.
  • Support faculty and fellows who volunteer to help staff the East Harlem Outreach Partnership, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s student-run free clinic that provides primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults in the neighborhood.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll lead building automation projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. You’ll coordinate teams, manage resources, and drive project success while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management.
  • Create timelines, allocate resources, and track milestones using project management tools.
  • Monitor budgets, manage time and material estimates, and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Lead and support project teams, delegating tasks and resolving conflicts.
  • Anticipate and address scope changes, risks, and dependencies to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare As-Built documentation and conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in building automation, mechanical/HVAC systems, or field installation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent field/project management experience.
  • Strong budgeting and resource allocation skills to stay within project budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects (new construction, renovations, retrofits) and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving, independent decision-making, and leadership skills.

This job assesses patients and safely performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

* Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Job Duties

* Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
* Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
* Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
* Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (may include placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast).
* Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
* Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted.
* Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.).
* Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
* Performs other related duties as required.
