Primary Skills Required: 5+ years of experience System and database administration: OptimalPlus aggregates and analyzes large volumes of manufacturing data, so a strong background in managing the underlying database infrastructure is critical. Experience with large databases: Proficiently manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise-scale databases, which often reside in the cloud or are based on systems like Vertica (now OpenText) or Hadoop. Data backup and recovery: Implement and manage policies for data protection and disaster recovery. Security and access control: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies to ensure sensitive manufacturing data is protected.

Infrastructure management: Network configuration: Ensure optimal performance and reliability for the wired connections between servers and workstations. Monitoring and troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Deployment and patching: Install and configure software, manage upgrades, and apply system patches.

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Experience with one or more cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure). Provision and manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, implement

security policies, monitor for threats and manage user access across cloud services.

Scripting and automation: Language proficiency: Create scripts using languages like Python or Perl to automate administrative tasks and workflows. Task automation: Use scripts for functions like managing data, setting up accounts, and creating system backups.

Software development: 5+ years of professional experience developing web-based applications utilizing Object Oriented development in at least one of the following web or mobile technologies:

Angular (preferred), Typescript, React, or JavaScript Springboot –

At least 5 years of experience in Agile practices (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, TDD, etc.)

Experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOA, etc

Additional Experience Preferred : -

Software engineering and design knowledge; OO Design Principles Practiced in eXtreme Programming (XP) disciplines including Paired programming Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD) - 5+ years of Object-oriented Development experience where you applied Java Enterprise concepts with the following tools and technologies: - Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud) - Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and technologies (Jenkins CI or similar) - Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL Database, including table design, creation, and modification - Delivered products that include web front-end development; JavaScript, and client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, React, etc. - Experience with testing tools such as Karma, Jasmine, Junit, etc. - Experience conducting code reviews - Understand differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop and optimize output and match all these platforms - Collaborative, positive demeanor, and self-motivated - Strong communication skills, verbal and written - Motivated to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects –
