We are seeking skilled mechanical and electrical technicians to join our growing team of Emergency Vehicle Technicians. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is looking to apply their mechanical expertise in the installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized equipment for emergency vehicles.
As an Emergency Vehicle Technician, you'll work directly with top-tier emergency systems, performing installations such as lighting, sirens, radios, and communication equipment. You'll get the chance to dive deep into the mechanics and electrical wiring of public safety vehicles, ensuring they're ready for action.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Installing and wiring emergency equipment in vehicles, including lights, sirens, radios, and communication devices.
* Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues on specialized emergency vehicles.
* Using your mechanical skills to work on both vehicle systems and customized equipment.
* Collaborating with other technicians to complete installations within deadlines and to strict quality standards.
* Following safety protocols and detailed installation procedures to ensure everything is working perfectly for the end user.
What We're Looking For:
* Mechanical expertise : You have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, electrical wiring, and systems.
* 12v electrical experience : A minimum of 2 years working with 12v electrical systems is preferred but not required.
* Attention to detail : You're able to think critically and work carefully, ensuring every installation is safe and up to industry standards.
* Team Player : You work well with others, sharing knowledge and skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
* Self-motivated : You're able to take direction, stay on task, and work independently when necessary.
* Punctuality and reliability : You can be counted on to show up on time and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience with automotive systems, 12v electrical wiring, or emergency vehicle upfitting.
* A solid understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle repair.
* Familiarity with emergency vehicle equipment such as lights, sirens, radios, and communications gear.
What You Get:
* Competitive Pay : $15.00 - $18.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience).
* Full-time, Stable Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with potential overtime.
