Compensation

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $350/hour
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,340–$7,870 (based on 36 hours per week)

Job Details

  • Location: Jackson, OH 45640 (Jackson, Ohio; southeastern Ohio)
  • Position: Locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician / ED Physician
  • Setting: Emergency Department — 11 beds, annual volume ~18,500 (emergency medicine)
  • Shifts: 12-hour nights (8p–8a) and days (8a–8p); nights and weekends required (night shift emergency physician, weekend ED physician)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Minimum Commitment: 5 shifts/month (preferably 8–10), ongoing for 12+ months
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed (minimum 60+ days for credentialing)

Job Requirements

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABMS/AOA only)
  • Active Ohio medical license or IMLC with proof of LOQ within 3 business days of acceptance (Ohio medical license, IMLC candidates welcome)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience (ED physician experience)
  • Clean background and self-query NPDB at time of name clear

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population (average 15–20 patients per shift)
  • Manage acute presentations across all ages and acuity levels as an Emergency Medicine physician
  • Oversee and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the ED
  • Write admission orders and coordinate transitions of care for ED patients
  • Coordinate with consultants including radiology, cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, urology, and hematology/oncology
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR (All Scripts/Paragon)
  • Participate in fast track care for lower-acuity patients and support quality and throughput initiatives

Job Summary

We're seeking a strategic, communicative and compassionate physical therapist who will diagnose and treat individuals that have conditions that limit their ability to move and work to improve their quality of life by alleviating pain and improving their physical function. Our physical therapy treatment plans require flexibility, collaboration, out-of-the-box thinking, and problem solving to provide our patients/residents the best care that pushes them to the highest level of physical function. This may require you to lift and transfer your patient/resident as well as handle being on your feet every day.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs that help patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities

Documents patient's/resident's information for evaluation

Educates patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home

Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements

Analyzes and records the therapeutic progress of patients/residents; recommends necessary adjustments

Follows guidelines, regulations, standards and safety procedures in the therapy process

Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.

Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.

When applicable, may require valid driver's license.

Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
