Duty Locations

Locations are offered based on operational requirements, mission requirements, and critical agency hiring needs as determined by AMO. You must be willing to work at any duty location within the region you select to include but not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

• Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
• Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
• Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
• Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Salary and Benefits

Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).

Recruitment Incentive:New hires may be eligible to receive a one-time Recruitment Incentive payout of $10,000 after completing Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) (1 year service agreement will need to be completed) (Recruitment Incentive is only available to new Federal employees as described in 5 CFR 575.102. Eligibility will be determined by Human Resources.)

Your starting salary will include Special Salary Rate (SSR); Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP); Recruitment Incentive; and Retention Incentive.

This career ladder position has a grade level progression of GS-11, GS-12, and GS-13. You may be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level automatically (without re-applying) once you complete 52 weeks at each grade level (with supervisor approval).

Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

• Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
• Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.
• Developing strategies and coordinating aircraft and ground assets.
• Using information systems and databases to conduct information surveys, queries, update files and disseminate information.
• Experience may include Operation of an aircraft as Captain, Pilot in Command, Aircraft Commander, First Officer, Certified Flight Instructor, Second in Command, or Co-pilot.

Hiring Minimums:

Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:

• Dual Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument rating AND Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
• Airplane Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument.
• Helicopter Rated: Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
• Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).

Flight Hours: Pilot Enter on Duty minimums are 1500 flight hours; (up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.

250 Pilot-in-Command hours; 75 Instrument hours; 75 Night hours (Flight Hour Waiver available, see Required Documents); and 100 Flight hours in the last 12 months This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 5, 2025.

FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.

Apply at 750 hours total time: Applicants applying at 750 flight hours are required to obtain at least 1,000 flight hours (depending on the number of hours approved for a waiver) at their own expense before being able to attend the 3-part flight assessment. Applicants must still meet 250 Pilot-in-Command, 75 instrument, and 75-night hours (100 flight hours in the last 12 months. This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 4, 2026)

UAS Flight Hours:Applicants may include UAS Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) flight hours and Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) or predator-based flight hours. These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

Other Requirements

Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.

Age Requirement: Provisions of Public Laws 93-350 and 100-238 allow the imposition of a maximum age for initial appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In accordance with DHS Management Directive 251-03, the ""day before an individual's 37th birthday"" is the maximum age for original appointment to a position as a primary law enforcement officer within DHS. Position Summary -

In coordination with Care Flight Management and Human Resources, this position is responsible for onboarding new Care Flight staff, conducting and overseeing initial and ongoing education and training for current Care Flight Nurses and Care Flight Paramedics and driving strategic clinical education initiatives to ensure Care Flight’s long-term success. Within this general framework, this position is accountable for the following functions:

· Oversee, coordinate, and conduct the education and clinical training of Care Flight clinicians, ensuring adherence to standards of clinical excellence, safety, and the principles of Just Culture.

· Responsible for creating and maintaining new employee onboarding, initial, recurrent education and training to include curriculum development, assignment to Nurses and Paramedics, ensuring the materials comply with current CAMTS requirements.

· Ensures Care Flight clinical operations are customer focused and patient care is provided with exceptional clinical performance

· Supports a positive team environment, where employees are proud of being a member and are supportive of one another through open communication, standards and recognition

· Works with the Chief Nursing Officer to create and implement the annual Care Flight Quality Management Plan.

· Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Director, Director of Clinical & CQI, and Clinical Committee on protocol review, revisions, and rollout.

· Assigns, tracks, and documents initial and ongoing Learning Management Software education assignments and records.

· Responsible for the coordination, development, and execution of HPS Simulation labs to include design, setup, proctoring, documentation, and debriefing.

· Manage the Care Flight preceptor program, including curriculum development, development of competency standards, and expectation management.

· Participate and co-chair the Clinical Committee along with the CNO.

· Participate in meetings with external partners (facilities, transport agencies, and fire departments) as needed.

· Develop and implement education and training for specialty programs identified by leadership.

· Supports the company’s Leadership Code of Conduct through one’s own actions and encourages the same from peers.

· Serve as Clinical on Call (COC), providing clinical guidance to on-duty crews.

· Conduct CQI chart reviews.

· Collaborate with the Managing Director of Flight Safety on investigations involving clinical incidents.

· Participates, performs, & engages in formal and informal clinical coaching, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

· Model positive, professional behavior and serve as a role model for clinical excellence, safety, and just culture.

Responsibilities

In your role as Lead Test Pilot, your primary role will be to lead a team of highly motivated flight test pilots and engineers. You will coordinate the training and scheduling of contract pilots, and help to ensure that all aspects of experimental flight operations are set up for safety and success. You will coordinate with Reliable's Part 135 airline operations to support standardization of pilot procedures across the organization. Throughout the development process, you will be instrumental in the execution of flight tests, data reviews, and proper operation of the system.

Basic Success Criteria

• FAA Commercial Pilot ASEL with 1500 total flight hours, including at least 500 fixed wing and 500 turbine engine

• Experience performing a secondary skillset while piloting (e.g. tactical aircraft, firefighting, cropdusting, SAR, ISR, law enforcement, etc.)

• Current Second Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher

• 2+ years of experience in an aviation leadership role

Preferred Criteria

• Graduate of an SETP recognized flight test school

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline or equivalent industry experience

• Recent Caravan or PT6A experience

• Diversity of experience in multiple aircraft/ airframes

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Experienced/Senior and Dynamics Engineer to support tactical aircraft programs in Hazelwood, MO.

As a member of the BDS Air Dominance Loads & Dynamics (L&D) Capability Team, you will be part of a core engineering team directly supporting production and development programs including F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, and proprietary programs. The L&D team is looking for individuals with experience in flight vehicle structural dynamics, including aeroacoustics, buffet, vibration, and shock. Position commensurate with experience level.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead in developing air vehicle environments for vibrations, shock, and/or acoustic noise

• Collaborate with the airframe & subsystems design and analysis engineers to generate integrated models for flight vehicle analysis consistent with a Model Based Engineering (MBE) environment

• Perform analysis for buffet, aeroacoustics, and vibration to support air vehicle design and stores integration

• Define flight envelopes and operational limits based on analysis and/or test results

• Develop flight test and ground test plans

• Execute wind tunnel, ground, and/or flight test programs by the development of test requirements, providing data for pre-test analysis, monitoring testing, data analysis and documenting results, in order to support design and verification of vehicle and components

• Review and approve airframe and subsystem hardware packages for flight worthiness and to ensure the air vehicle meets the service environment

• Onsite support for hardware vendor qualification tests, including troubleshooting and approving test plan changes

• Provide data to support the definition and documentation of structural design requirements for the service life of the product, to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements are met

• Present load and/or dynamic issues to management and customers during program level reviews and other technical meetings

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

• Strong understanding of structural dynamics, including dynamic response of structures and vibration analysis

• Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as NASTRAN

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance

• Experience leading teams and/or projects

• Proficiency in one or more higher-level programming languages such as Python, Fortran, MATLAB, or similar

• Experience with supersonic and subsonic military aircraft
