Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician in Iowa - Weekend Only, Light Volume
Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician locums opportunity in Iowa in Cedar Rapids, offering weekend-only call coverage with manageable case volume.
Highlights:
- Weekend only call coverage
- Light volume, 2 to 6 cases per weekend
- Full or half weekend options
- Ongoing recurring coverage
Practice Setting:
- Inpatient Level III hospital
- Adult-only patient population
- Established cardiothoracic program
- Full cardiovascular surgical support onsite
Schedule:
- 1 to 2 weekends per month
- Typical coverage Friday evening through Monday morning
- Additional holiday and vacation weekends available
- Consistent weekend blocks throughout the year
Cases and Procedures:
- Full scope cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery
- Open heart and pacemaker procedures
- Mix of operative cases and consultative call
- Approximately 150 heart cases annually
Requirements:
- Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician
- Active Iowa license or IMLC in hand
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA
Travel Accommodations:
- Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
