You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
How you will contribute
- You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
- You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
What you bring to Takeda:
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist

The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. Prelicensure Clinical Instructors (Hourly) are subject matter experts who teach and mentor students when engaged in experiential clinical course work; in a remote/onsite environment. This faculty position varies in the type, length, and intensity of instructional methods and is based upon student and facility needs. The Clinical Instructor works on a team to support an assigned group of students and offers specialized instruction on challenging experiential/clinical course work. Faculty interacts with students in both group and one-on-one settings. The Clinical Instructor ensures students are successful within their clinical placement setting as they oversee clinical learning.

Division 11800 is a 32-bed single occupancy unit that provides care to oncology patients who are hospitalized for cancer treatment and symptom management, including support for immunosuppression and/or neutropenia. The presence of two services provides broad oncology experiences for the nurse. Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children's at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The Med Surg 5th Floor provides nursing care for adult medical/surgical/telemetry patients. It also cares for patients who have new tracheostomies placed during hospitalizations.

Job summary: Provides indirect/direct patient care in the Women's Health setting. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records in the Women's Health Unit. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Monitors security cameras. Assists RN with patient care as needed.

* Prepares medical records for new admissions and discharged patients
* Obtains appropriate nursing staff to assist patients/physicians in the care of the patient.
* Transcribes physician's orders within one (1) hour after being written. Enters and verifies orders in the computer system
* Logs all patients on census sheets, pulls patients to census in Cerner and makes assignments in Care Connect upon admission, transfer, discharge or expiration. Assists with scheduling appointments for discharge follow up

Orthopedic/Neuro Spine and Acute Rehabilitation at Missouri Baptist offers a 34-bed unit for patients undergoing joint replacements, back surgeries and other orthopedic procedures with. Included in this nursing area is a 10-bed Rehabilitation Unit which provides services between acute and long-term care. The patient care team researches patient lifestyle, function and mobility, and customizes care plans to return patients to their home setting.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive care under medical direction or clinical protocols for patients with cardiopulmonary, neurological, or other organ system dysfunctions. The role involves working across various departments, including Inpatient and Emergency Room (ER), Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Diagnostics, and Neurodiagnostics (EEG and NCV).
- Patient Assessment and Care: Assess patients, collect clinical data, perform diagnostic tests, apply therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to establish and achieve therapeutic goals.
- Pulmonary Diagnostics: Operate pulmonary function testing equipment, perform arterial blood gas analysis, and prepare reports for physician interpretation.
- Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Develop, coordinate, and implement exercise programs to restore function, prevent disability, and support recovery. Follow guidelines from AACVPR and ACSM.
- Neurodiagnostics (EEG/NCV): Perform routine and complex EEG and NCV procedures to diagnose nervous system disorders. Operate specialized equipment to record and interpret brain and nerve activity, providing data for physician analysis. Additional Responsibilities:

- The RCP plays a crucial role in helping patients reach their highest level of function and maintain a good quality of life. Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Active license from the Maryland Board of Physicians.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current CPR certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. Experience:
Experience is required for PRN and Part time position.
Salary Range: Minimum 34.62 per hour - Maximum 57.19 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
