Imaging Services Student Technologist (Casual / 2nd‑Year Student)
Evenings & Nights - Every Other Weekend - No Holidays

What You'll Do
As a Student Technologist, you will perform imaging-related tasks under the direct supervision of a registered technologist. This role allows you to apply your classroom learning, strengthen your clinical skills, and become familiar with the workflow of a professional imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in performing imaging procedures and follow established protocols under the supervision of a Technologist or Radiologist.
* Depending on modality, operate imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and proper documentation of image data.
* Perform daily equipment checks, warm‑up routines, and basic Quality Control steps under Technologist supervision.
* Help set up contrast for procedures (without loading or priming the injector).
* Support safe radiation practices and help obtain quality images while following all radiation safety standards.
* Assist with patient positioning and exam preparation (students will not hold detectors or patients during radiation exams).
* Manage workflow tasks in the Radiology Information System, including arriving patients, tracking studies, scanning scripts, and scheduling exams.
* Support Technologists and Radiologists during modality‑specific exams as appropriate.
* Maintain clinical proficiency and stay current on all required competencies and equipment skills.

* Act 33 with renewal
* Act 34 with renewal
* Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
