Job Summary:
The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Responsibilities of a Lead Technician:
- Test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies and verify compliance to workmanship standards.
- Rely on moderate to extensive experience to interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.
- Adapt methods and procedures to test, inspect, and troubleshoot new hardware.
- Apply advanced skills to test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies.
- Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.
- Assess complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability.
- Document and communicate test and inspection discrepancies and concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.
- Perform other task related duties as required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school, secondary school, or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an engineering environment inspecting electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment.
- Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

A day in the life
Our team has three primary tasks:
1. Providing the first level networking devices to serve our customer racks entails various tasks (the name of the game is efficiency): You will track network rack intake and delivery; work with various onsite teams to request for rack space, power, and cooling for network racks. And then partner with network engineers to ensure all configurations are ready. You'll also be working on link and device troubleshooting within a certain Service-Level Agreement
2. There is also console builds (and room builds) that are really exciting. You'll be exposed to more teams whose goal is to provide more space and capacity for customer racks.
3. Work with ID-Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices.

- Interpret part numbers, procedure books, and kit-based documentation to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently
- Perform precise crimping, stripping, connector assembly, and light mechanical integration using standard hand tools
- Execute electrical testing, verification, and basic calibration using digital multimeters and related test equipment
- Support troubleshooting efforts to confirm proper functionality and ensure all assemblies meet quality specifications
- Operate independently while collaborating effectively within a small, highly supportive technical team
- Maintain an organized, safety-focused work environment and adhere to all production and documentation standards
This is a Direct Hire position. The hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-3PM. The pay range is $30-$35/hr DOE.
