The Quality Assurance Supplier Compliance Auditor is responsible for managing compliance programs for Wakefern Own Brands suppliers. This role develops and maintains an approved supplier program based on regulatory and corporate requirements to mitigate risk and ensure Wakefern and its Members source from vendors that meet established standards. The position focuses on ensuring food safety and quality expectations are met through on-site supplier audits, documentation reviews, and corrective action management. Responsibilities include investigating consumer complaints and recalls/withdrawals, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting the supplier selection processes. Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, GFSI standards, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and third-party certifications (GLOBAL G.A.P, PrimusGFS, BRC, and SQF) is essential.
Essential Functions
- Reviews and maintains supplier documentation and audit results within the Supplier Management program.
- Actively participates in supplier quality related communication and feedback. This includes ownership of the escalation process for nonconforming product, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective solutions are identified and implemented with closure plans.
- Participates in supplier selection process for food safety and quality.
- Follows-Up on consumer complaints/recalls/withdrawals related to private label product, regulatory issues and coordinates with the Consumer Affairs divisions with appropriate action.
- Schedules and confirms audit date with the Supplier.
- Prepares and sends supplier audit plan according to protocols.
- Adheres to all quality and code of conduct standards.
- Conducts audits using applicable checklists, reports, and tools available.
- Maintains positive Supplier relationships and responds to all Supplier inquiries and concerns.
- Submits complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines to Manager.
- Ensures thorough Supplier records are maintained.
- Handles multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and within required time schedules.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of applicable compliance regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science preferred or similar Science degree.
- Seven (7) years of experience in QA/QC processes in a food and/or regulatory industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge in FDA and USDA regulations in all related commodities including Seafood.
- Demonstrated knowledge in conducting risk assessments, audits, Food GMPs, SOPs, HACCP/Food Safety and environmental guidelines.
- Demonstrated Knowledge in the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Auditing Scheme highly preferred.
- SQF Practitioner and/or SQF Internal Auditor Certification highly preferred.
- Accredited minimum 16 hour HACCP training.
- Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with significant experience in auditing products, operations and processes are key qualifications of this position.
- Familiarity with the third-party certification process (GLOBAL G.A.P, PrimusGFS, Harmonized GAP, Primus Standard, BRC and SQF).

We are seeking a Business Process Optimization Lead to work in our Business Innovation and Transformation Services team, within the >tech_ Division of Wakefern to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across our organization. In this role, you will document and analyze current state processes, identify improvement opportunities using data-driven techniques, and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement future state workflows, automation and agentic AI solutions. Your expertise in process enhancement, software implementation, and data analysis will be essential in optimizing operational performance and driving our business and technology transformation.
The Business Process Optimization Lead will work closely with our Transformation Projects to identify current state processes, define future state processes and ensure these processes are incorporated into Training and Change Management plans. This role will be responsible for building a center of excellence within the >tech_ division on process improvement driving efficiencies both within our Tech processes as well as across business processes. This center of excellence will include the implementation of Process Intelligence tools, improvement methodology and the rollout of adoption to the Wakefern Organization.
Essential Functions

The Associate Manager of Store Design & Site Development leads the end-to-end planning, design, and execution of new store development projects. About You
As a member of the Southern Perishables Logistics Team, the Temp Logistics Administrative Clerk will be responsible for performing various essential administrative functions in support of warehousing operations. These include, but are not limited to, data entry for receiving, store invoicing and delivery administration receipts. Additionally, the Temp Logistics Administrative Clerk will provide the necessary service to warehouse operations when needed and fulfill any request for retail, perishable and grocery warehouse operations. This position supports a 7 day operation and works directly with the Supervisory team to provide seamless product workflow to 400+ stores under the ShopRite®, Price Rite®, The Fresh Grocer®, Dearborn Markets®, Fairway Market®, Gourmet Garage®, Di Bruno Bros.®, and Morton Williams® banners. - Maintains accurate productivity reports

Your contribution
As a member of the Retail Operations team, you will be responsible for consulting with our ShopRite and Alternate Banner Members, store management and retail staff with regard to the operations and merchandising of our Meat Departments. You will consult with our Members, retail staff and subsidiaries on all innovative/state of the art merchandising strategies and technological advances to ensure long-term growth and profitability. A successful merchandiser analyzes market trends, understands the importance of seasonality and creativity in the craft. You will counsel our stores with regard to departmental sales, gross profit, shrink, product quality, training and customer service. This is accomplished through the establishment of Member/Store specific business plans which enhance market share, build sales, and ensure profitability in their respective trade areas. This specialist will conduct store visits to ensure merchandising standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are in place in order to deliver consistent execution and financial results by leading and coaching for improvement. This individual share best practices throughout the cooperative. In addition, this merchandiser will also be charged with the implementation and successful execution of all resets, remodels, new store setups and openings. The preferred candidate with reside in central NJ.

Your Contribution:
The Customer Service Agent is responsible for supporting all aspects of replenishment and logistics activity within the department. General responsibilities include answering phone and email communications from internal and external customers including all banners, Wholesale customers and Wakefern product divisions. Core functions of this role include completing delivery discrepancy investigations, handling all types of store orders, supporting order scheduling, including DSD, directs, Wholesale and Transdock orders. During any type of Logistics crisis, the CSR represents the division, including staffing the Emergency Operations Center. The work performed is in a high volume call center and the CSR serves as a first-contact associate for store logistical needs.

Quality Assurance: Product Inspector (Produce) track:
This internship goes beyond a typical desk job, you’ll be immersed in the core of our supply chain operations. The QA (Produce) Intern plays a hands-on role in inspecting fresh produce and other perishable items to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with Wakefern standards. This position involves physically examining inbound deliveries for grade, freshness, proper labeling, and packaging integrity, as well as monitoring temperatures and verifying weights and counts. Interns will gain first-hand experience with Wakefern’s Food Safety and Quality Practices, USDA and FDA guidelines. Interns will be learning leadership skills mentored by supervisors to understand all skills required in a Quality Assurance Product Inspection department.
What you will do
- Work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
- Inspects all inbound deliveries to ensure the purchased goods conform to all established product specifications, standards, and grade requirements.
- Performs random organoleptic inspections of inbound goods to assure the quality, grade, and wholesomeness of the product.
- Inspects all inbound deliveries for cleanliness and soundness of the transportation vehicle and the absence of cross contamination.

About You
Summary
As a member of the Transportation Safety Department, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing compliance, safety, accountability (CSA) performance and ensuring all corrective actions are taken as a result of roadside inspections. Overseeing accident investigations, along with documenting investigation findings. Initiating and maintaining all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated paperwork for the fleet. Driver hiring and maintaining qualification files in accordance with FMCSA guidelines. Conducting driver safety meetings. Interacting with Dispatch, Fleet Maintenance and Risk Management. Monitoring hours of service (HOS) compliance and provide refresher training as needed.
Essential Functions
The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Initiate and maintain all U.S. Department of Transportation mandated paperwork to include; driver qualification file, annual review, DOT physical, Commercial Driver License.
- Monitor and manage driver safety performance such as HOS compliance, DriveCam review and coaching, CSA compliance and ensure all corrective action is taken as a result of roadside inspections.
- Accident investigation, documentation and participate in determining the ruling of preventable or non-preventable, post-accident counselling, refresher training.
- Driver retention and new hire. Verify qualification in accordance with our driver hiring guidelines. Initiate and process all new hire paperwork, to include the Department of Transportation’s PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program), Clearing House validation and maintain driver files.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by actively monitoring driver's license status, medical certificates and ensure DOT random drug testing quota is met.
- Ensure all equipment meets regulatory requirements (registration, annual inspection, insurance and internal record keeping).
- Interact with dispatch personnel to ensure drivers are always in compliance with all regulations.
- Interact with Fleet Maintenance regarding vehicle inspections, equipment compliance, and damages.
- Interact with stores regarding any safety issues involving our drivers, equipment, or store property. Remedy such issues.
- Research motorist complaints, interact with the motorist to provide a timely response, present and confront the driver with the complaint.
- Research and interact with Fleet Maintenance and Accounting regarding damage to our equipment caused by third party motor carriers or vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, finance or marketing. Certifications in Supply Chain Management, OSHA, Safety and Compliance; a plus.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience in Transportation Safety & Compliance
- Working knowledge of FMCSA Rules and Regulations, CSA and HOS
- Working knowledge of Accident Investigation & Reconstruction
- CSP certification preferred
- Substance Abuse Training Certification

The Senior Safety Specialist reports directly to the Vice President of Safety and Team Development but will maintain and plan daily schedule with the appropriate Project Manager(s). POSITION SUMMARY
Provide administrative and operational support to the IDN Task Force by managing contract documentation, coordinating cross-functional reviews, and tracking approval workflows.
