Job Summary:
The RN Resident is expected to successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP). The Wellstar program is designed to facilitate and provide support for a successful transition into professional practice for the new graduate RN with less than 6 months of experience as a Professional Registered Nurse.
RN Residents will participate in programs designed by 1) specialty/service line and 2) NRP sessions to support their development. The RN Resident will be supported by the Unit-Based Leaders, Educators, NRP RN educators, Site Coordinators, and Unit-Based Preceptors trained to support professional role transition, strengthen nursing practice comprehension, critical thinking, and clinical skills in preparation for providing excellent patient care on the unit. The Nurse Resident's orientation is comprised of the following sequential phases: System Orientation, Core Nursing Onboarding Sessions, Specialty Onboarding Sessions, and monthly NRP sessions.

We primarily service walk-in patients of all ages to deliver quality, convenient, patient-centered urgent care with unparalleled service. Our physician-driven focus is centered on providing extensive resources and support to our dedicated clinical teams. We offer a wide range of primary and urgent care services for the entire family. We are seeking providers available for part-time, full-time or PRN coverage for our clinics the Greater Atlanta area.

Candidate Responsibilities:
Evaluating and treating patients in accordance with clinical best practices for an urgent care and/or occupational health setting
Providing compassionate and respectful patient care consistent with our core values and mission statement
Treating all patients who present to the clinic appropriately and discuss the treatment plan with the patient ensuring there is a clear understanding of the next steps
Documenting care and appropriately coding and billing for care rendered
Delivering exemplary care and act in a legal and ethical manner
Maintaining clinical productivity consistent with peers and industry standards for a similar setting
Follow up on patient care as indicated
Serve as the leader of the organization by providing exemplary patient care & creating valuable relationships within the community
Evaluate & treat urgent care patients of all ages on a walk-in basis
Perform minor in-office procedures
Candidate Requirements:
Active Georgia State License
Current/Unrestricted DEA
Board Certified in: Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Medicine
Flexibility on Local Site Appointment
2+ Years of Recent Urgent Care Experience
Ability to Suture, Read/Interpret X-Rays & Provide General In-Office Diagnostic Care
Certifications: BLS
Able to Treat Patients of All Ages
