Travel Cable Installation Technician

We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, and surrounding areas across Iowa and nearby states . Some travel is required, and per diem is provided when traveling.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience , though individuals with hands-on technical training or schooling will also be considered. Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks/cabinets, CAT6 and COAX cabling, faceplates , as well as testing and labeling all cable runs. Additional duties include setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes in individual units, and assisting with building out server closets for network setups. Work will take place both inside and outside of school buildings, apartment complexes, and similar environments. Technicians may occasionally perform trench digging and directional drilling . Work will be performed under the direction of project leads.

Entry Level

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
