Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III Special Care Nursery (NICU) position requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience and active GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

- 13-week contract in the Special Care Nursery (SCN), a Level III NICU
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), scheduling varies
- 3 shifts per week
- Cares for neonates with medical and/or surgical conditions, including infants born at the facility and select transfers from other hospitals
- Equipment used includes ReCam ophthalmic imaging system, cardiac monitors, warmer beds, and isolettes
- No on-call requirements

Requirements

- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA-issued, must not be expired)
- Minimum 2 years of NICU or special care nursery experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

- Provide specialized nursing care to neonates with medical and/or surgical needs in a Level III SCN environment
- Former permanent staff who have transitioned to travel nursing must have a 2-year break before returning to this facility as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is accepted
