Position Purpose

What you will do:

  • Attends discharge-planning conferences when offered.
  • Practices within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Scope of Practice, AND Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care, AND Standards of Professional Performance, Florida Department of Health licensure laws, Florida Department of Health rules and guidelines, and Holy Cross and Department of Food and Nutrition Services policies and procedures.
  • Complies with regulatory standards and is knowledgeable of the standards, quality management efforts, and performance improvement projects.
  • Provides meaningful direction to the diet office staff. Reviews menus as needed to assure compliance with established criteria and standards.
  • Maintains flexibility in schedule according to patient and department staffing needs.
  • Provides in-services and nutrition education for the healthcare team members. Serves as a liaison between the Food and Nutrition Services Department and individual patient care units.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university.
  • Licensure / Certification: Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian, or registry eligible and must achieve Registered Dietitian credential within six (6) months of date of hire. Requires current dietetic licensure in the state of Florida. Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials. Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

  • Current CPR/BLS (or equivalent) certification as required by facility policy.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, compassion, and a resident-centered approach; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.

Job Description:


Progress Mfg, Inc. is seeking a part-time QC inspector to perform repetitive inspection following standardized methods and procedures. Visually inspects or checks parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples. Checks dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications.


Key Measures:

  • Sampling and inspecting finished goods or raw material.
  • Internal auditing: Daily Production walkthroughs and inspections.
  • CP/CPK Study
  • Attend weekly IP meeting, monthly department and company meeting.
  • Recognition other employees by submitting iPoints.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pulling random samples for raw materials/finished goods inspection.
  • Conducting inspection of raw materials/finished goods products to ensure parts are in compliance with quality standards.
  • Visual inspection
  • Geometric/dimensional inspection
  • Functional inspection
  • Reporting non-conformities and results in database.
  • Conducting capability study.
  • Destroy scrapped parts.


Job Qualifications:


Education: High School with some college education; Associates degree preferred but not required.


Experience: At least six months of QC experience preferred.


Skills:

  • Must be able to read measurement from a caliper, and have the ability to learn how to use other measuring devices.
  • Must have good mechanical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have good math skills and be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions.
  • Must have good computer skills: Excel / Word / Access / Outlook.
