About the Role

As Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine, you will oversee all academic, clinical, and educational activities of the division. Working closely with the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director and the Medical Student Clerkship Director, you will help advance excellence across UME and GME programs.

The Chief will also guide the growth of the Division’s scholarly and academic mission, while sharing operational and fiscal oversight with an experienced professional management team.

  • Work with System Chair to recruit new faculty and staff to fulfill the division’s mission and responsibilities.
  • Guide and monitor the academic advancement of divisional faculty (and fellows) by assuring appropriate, timely and effective mentorship, feedback and evaluation.
    • Develop an individual faculty development plan for each faculty member that outlines goals and expectations (clinical, research, and education).
  • Work with physicians, nurses, medical staff and social workers as well as bereavement specialists to provide comprehensive care and psychosocial counseling to those struggling with fetal abnormalities, difficult pregnancies, and fetal loss regularly in partnership with the Perinatal Bereavement Program.
  • Support all individuals across the reproductive spectrum and regularly collaborate with the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Department of Genetics, and other medical subspecialties in the health system.
  • Support faculty and fellows who volunteer to help staff the East Harlem Outreach Partnership, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s student-run free clinic that provides primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults in the neighborhood.

The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (NDBP) invite applications for Division Director of NDBP. Applicants who are Board certified in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) or Neurodevelopmental Disability (NDD) at the rank of Associate or Full Professor are encouraged to apply. The Division Director is primarily responsible for creating and implementing the vision and goals for NDBP, in alignment with the broader strategic plans for the Department of Pediatrics and UVA Health Children’s. The Division Director will lead the faculty in all clinical and academic mission areas, including clinical service (see 3 Tracks of Care below), education of trainees at all levels (keeping our long standing DBP fellowship in good standing), research program development, and administrative activities of all NDBP programs. Academic responsibilities include overseeing all divisional faculty (currently 8 MDs and 1 NP/PhD, and one Research PhD), advancing their careers by providing professional and personal development opportunities, overseeing high-quality training, supporting research activities, and modeling a culture of inquiry to ensure active engagement in quality improvement, scholarly excellence, and innovation in all missions. This role extends to the experienced Advanced Practice providers (6 NPs) in the division. Administrative responsibilities include creating an environment of excellence and innovation in clinical practice that supports positive patient outcomes. The NDBP closely collaborates with the School of Education to maintain a state-of-the-art multi-tier autism assessment program and also provides leadership and faculty for the Blue Ridge LEND. Applicants with an active research program are preferred. The ideal candidate for the UVA NDBP Division Director position is an established academic DBP/NDD with strong leadership and clinical experience in motor, cognitive, and at-risk disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.

The Division of NDBP is integrally involved in the highly successful HRSA funded interdisciplinary training grant, Blue Ridge Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND). The NDBP division receives over $1 M of state-level funding for work effort to support Virginia Mental Health Access Program, including training of primary care in autism assessment. The division has an integrated relationship with the pediatric psychology service, currently consisting of 7 PhD psychologists and growing. Community outreach, equity, diversity and inclusion are priorities: majority of NDBP patients are publicly insured and we have bilingual capacity at the MD and PhD levels. We partner with a family navigator, licensed clinical social worker, and a team of educational consultants as well as therapy services (PT, OT, SLP, nutrition) amongst a Pediatric Division with 16 sub-specialties, and additionally Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery and neurology, and urology services. We are dedicated academicians, evidence-based practitioners, educators, scientists, and advocates, engaged daily toward improving the lives of children and youth with developmental disabilities and their families. The Division

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the University of Florida is committed to delivering the highest quality care for patients with complex lung disease, sleep disorders, and critical illness, while advancing the field through research and education. The Division of Endocrinology is home to a busy, high-quality clinical practice with a dedicated clinic site, advanced ultrasound technology, experienced nurse practitioners, clinical diabetes educators, and multidisciplinary partnerships with surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, oncology, and other specialties. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting a Division Director. The ideal candidate for this position is a physician-scientist with a strong record of research accomplishments in patient-oriented, translational, or basic science research. The Division Director also should have excellent mentoring, clinical, and teaching skills as well as administrative experience sufficient to lead the division. The Division Director will be supported by generous development funds and will be offered an endowed chair.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh encompasses the largest, most comprehensive childhood cancer and blood disease center in the Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia regions. The Division currently includes 21 faculty members and 10 Advanced-Practice Providers, who provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care for children with cancer and hematologic disorders. Members of the Division have extensive research interests spanning basic research to understand cancer mechanisms, high-impact translational research, and NIH-funded clinical trials. The Division also is home to an outstanding fellowship program to train future leaders in pediatric hematology and oncology.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is comprised of 20 divisions, six centers, and two institutes, with over 350 faculty members. The new Chief will have the opportunity to shape the growth of nephrology services across the RWJBarnabas/Rutgers Health System, a $5 Billion enterprise that cares for about 40% of all NJ residents. In addition, the successful candidate will have an actively funded research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research, strong academic credentials, and have a distinguished record of accomplishments across all missions.

Candidates must hold the degree of MD or MD/PhD, be Board certified in nephrology and possess qualifications for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor at Rutgers University.
