Senior Applied AI Scientist

THE COMPANY
Harnham is partnering with an innovative health-tech startup building patient-focused agentic AI, multimodal computer vision and LLM applications to advance capabilities in medical claims and medical imaging in hospitals. The AI science team builds scalable, data-driven solutions that personalize user experiences and equip care providers with actionable insights, all while working with large-scale infrastructure and diverse technologies.
THE ROLE
- You will be responsible for computer vision and multimodal model research, building and development for the company's agentic AI product across imaging centers and hospitals
- You will report directly to senior leadership and work closely on technical direction
- Own applied AI research and quickly build into production, particularly focusing on novel AI, computer vision and LLM applications
- You will directly work with production team on implement and design code and build out to production using various machine learning, imaging and LLM techniques, owning machine learning modeling
- You will play an integral role of building out the AI team and scaling out its product
- Act as a thought leader role for AI across the business, mentoring junior team members
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Senior Applied AI Scientist will likely have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years of commercial experience preferred with a focus on applied machine learning and computer vision research, building production-grade models with NLP and LLMs ideally with voice, image and multi-modal systems
- Experience working in a scaling startup is preferred
- Expertise in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for production-grade work
- Commercial experience building novel AI platforms with large datasets
- History of working with and managing real-time AI applications in production settings
- Cloud experience in AWS, Azure or GCP
- DevOps exposure with CI/CD pipelines preferred
- History of working on models from concept to production / end-to-end / 0-1
- Applied research background in a commercial setting required
- Publication and/or patent history highly preferred
- Experience in settings wearing multiple hats
- Domain experience in healthcare, health-tech, med-tech or similar a plus; EHR, EMR, claims, HEOR or other medical data exposure highly preferred
- History of partnering with non-technical stakeholders required

Job Summary
The College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites nominations and applications for the position of Chair of the School of Computer Science for the Atlanta campus located in midtown Atlanta, Georgia. The Chair will have the opportunity to build upon the success of the School and the College of Computing. The school has 3 PhD programs in ACO, Computer Science, and Machine Learning as well as Masters and Bachelor degrees which are managed by the College. The School of Computer Science is a leader in the following areas of specialization: Computer Architecture, Data Systems and Analytics, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Programming Languages and Compilers, Software Engineering, Systems, and Theory. The school has academic faculty, endowed chairs, research faculty, postdocs, adjunct faculty, and classified staff along with several research centers.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Computing, the Chair has overall responsibility for the academic and research programs in the School of Computer Science specifically focusing on all budgetary, administrative, academic, fiscal, and personal decisions in conjunction with the mission and goals of the College and Georgia Tech. The chair must have a forward-thinking strategic vision and the appropriate skills to lead a group of faculty and staff. Additionally, the Chair will provide overall leadership for all the school's teaching and research components at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Chair should establish collaborative and interdisciplinary relationships with others Computing School Chairs, with other leaders in the College, as well as all internal and external constituents at Georgia Tech and abroad. They must be able to build successful partnerships with executive leaders at Georgia Tech. External affairs, community engagement, and industry relationships should also be primary goals for the incoming Chair. About the School of Computing Instruction at the Georgia Institute of Technology
With more students graduating with a Computer Science degree than any other major at Georgia Tech and the Institute's requirement that every student complete at least one programming course, quality instruction on the foundations of computing has never been more important. The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) was created to serve these critical needs within Georgia Tech and beyond. Our award-winning teaching-focused faculty have three core missions:
Platform for Creativity and Innovation. SCI's creative faculty boldly experiment with new ideas and approaches to pedagogy, while continually re-examining proven methods to ensure their approach is effective and practical across a different set of courses and students. Ultimately, we consider SCI a platform for meaningful experimentation and invite collaborations both within and beyond Georgia Tech to further push the envelope in computing education.
Scalability of Computing Instruction. SCI's faculty design and serve as primary instructors for the College's array of introductory computer science courses, direct the junior design/capstone program for our undergraduate computing majors, and teach a selection of upper-division and graduate level courses that reflect our faculty's varied interests. At the undergraduate level, SCI faculty teach a third of the College's 1000-4000 level course offerings or half of the nearly 9000 undergraduate computing course seats each semester. Further, we reach tens of thousands of GT graduate students and non-GT students through special initiatives, such as MOOCs and the state of Georgia's dual enrollment high school program.
Transparency and Meaningful Dialogue. While the main source of recognition we desire is from the numerous learners our faculty reach, we seek to foster meaningful dialogue and to share what works and what does not work in practice, in order to inspire others to attempt new ideas in computing education. Job Summary
The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) at Georgia Institute of Technology within the College of Computing was recently founded to recognize the significant contributions of CS teaching-track faculty. We invite applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions. The official appointment of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will be made depending on past teaching experience. Both positions are offered with renewable contracts with an expectation to start in 2025 on Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta campus. Summer teaching for additional compensation is typically available. In addition, SCI faculty are typically allowed to teach at one of Georgia Tech's multiple study-abroad campuses (Berlin, Barcelona, Metz, etc.) during the summer.
The top candidates will be invited to Atlanta for an on-site interview, which involves giving a sample lecture.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to providing high-quality undergraduate teaching, primarily within the technical communications component of the College's capstone design program. Opportunities to teach graduate courses are also available, as candidates will be matched to courses for which they are the best fit. In addition to teaching, there will be an expectation to participate in service at the School, College, and Institute level. Candidates are also encouraged to engage in scholarship and curriculum development. As part of its budget, SCI earmarks funding for these sorts of activities and makes it available to faculty.

Responsibilities
As a tenure-track faculty member, a successful candidate will engage in substantive research individually and/or with collaborators in the same or other disciplines. In addition, a successful candidate will be expected to teach one graduate or undergraduate course per semester, in Georgia Tech's Atlanta campus, as well as contribute service to the School and Institute.

Position description
The Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Program (ISSP) is the administrative unit that oversees the interdisciplinary majors, minors and graduate programs within the Social Sciences Division of the College of Letters and Sciences at UC Berkeley.
Housed in ISSP, the Master of Computational Social Science (MaCSS) is a new one-year professional master's program that will provide students with practical skills for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing social data. Social data are data about people, groups, organizations, and their interactions from surveys and censuses, company websites, store loyalty cards, cell-phone records, social media posts, internet searches, etc. MaCSS graduates will be able to work as analysts and data specialists in business, non-profit, and government settings.

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. - Provide comprehensive pre-award and post-award management for a modest number of sponsored grants and other funding sources, including preparing and submitting budget amendments and subawards for sponsored grants.

- Provide support for salary distributions and redistributions in compliance with policy.
- Exercise fiscal approval authority over Workday transactions at the school level.

Job Summary
The Georgia Institute of Technologys School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at Associate or Full Professor in the School of Architecture in the area of Architecture and Design Computing. The successful candidate will: First, lead the development of research agendas in this area; second, serve as steward for the Eastman Fund to support doctoral students; and third, work with the School Chair and the Dean in order to reshape the mission of the Digital Building Lab (DBL).
The DBL was created by professor Chuck Eastman to address design computation, data standards and interoperability. Over the years it has housed studies in design and construction automation; project delivery systems; and smart buildings, infrastructure and environments, often working in conjunction with the Digital Fabrication Lab which provides a setting for design-build projects for the faculty and the students. The DBL has also fostered collaborations between the faculty of the School of Architecture, the School of Building Construction and the School of Industrial Design, as well as collaborations with the research labs of the faculty including the Shape Computation Lab (SCL) and the High Performance Buildings Lab. Under professor Chuck Eastman, funding came from both successful research applications and from industry memberships. The partnerships with industry fostered and sustained a link between academic research and advances in practice as well as in research internal to major architecture firms. Now is the time to redefine and revitalize the vision and the mission of the lab, taking into account current developments in artificial intelligence, data-based design decisions, and advanced digital modeling of buildings and their performance.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidate include securing and conducting funded research, stewarding the future identity and growth of DBL, mentoring early career researchers, advising PhD students, leading the development of forward-looking curricula for the MS Arch and PhD programs, and teaching advanced graduate courses in candidate's area of expertise.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have a terminal professional degree in Architecture or an allied discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong record of publications on architectural and design computation and/or the development of digital technologies applicable to building design and construction; and a strong track record of sponsored research, industry collaboration, and teaching. A Doctoral Degree is preferred. An interest and ability to relate research to studio teaching is welcome but studio teaching is not a requirement for this position.

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Job Summary
Act as the primary administrative support for a school Chair providing office related services including correspondence and report preparation, maintaining files, meeting arrangements and related functions. Responsibilities

The IBM Consulting Learning and Knowledge (L&K) Americas Lead will be accountable for overall skills growth for our client-facing Consulting staff in the Americas and local execution of the global L&K strategy. This role will manage local L&K resources, be responsible for the Americas L&K budget, and coordinate with business leaders, L&Kβs worldwide portfolio teams, and several shared services functions to ensure that priority education and credential needs are met within the budget.
Key responsibilities include engaging with Geography stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, raising those needs with L&Kβs global portfolio leads/senior strategists, end-to-end budget management, and delivering quality education aligned to business priorities and the broader people strategy.
Your role and responsibilitiesEngage Geography stakeholders (Geo General Manager, Operations Leader, Market Leaders Service Line leaders, etc.) as well as peers from within the Geo Talent Supply Chain (HR, Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition) as the "primary face of L&K" to the Geography.
Team with other L&K roles (Portfolio Leads, Lead Learning Strategists, Delivery Leads, Shared Services Learning Consultants) in our organizational matrix to ensure coordination and alignment.
Manage the L&K Geography budget, securing initial requirements in the Fall Plan, engaging with Geography leadership and Finance to agree a committed budget, manage budget changes through quarters and ensure the overall program stays within the annual/quarterly budget envelopes - all requiring close coordination with business operations leads as well as the various L&K Portfolio and Shared Services teams.
Lead the L&K team in the Geography, including L&K Geo Operations/Finance and L&K Market Leaders. They will also serve as in-country managers for Faculty and Event Management support resources who are in the Shared Service teams.
Oversee annual and quarterly education requirements capture and prioritization, working closely with L&K Portfolio and L&K Shared Services teams.
Ensure quality education delivery that meets the prioritized Geography requirements and fits within the budget envelope. This will requirement close collaboration with L&K Portfolio and L&K Shared Services teams, who will be responsible for staffing and delivering the education programs.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Required technical and professional expertise10+ years of experience in a services environment, preferably technology consulting. Preference for candidates with both significant client service and learning leadership experience.
Proven track record executing complex education deployment programs: Conferences, large and medium-sized face-to-face events, connected classrooms, virtual classrooms, self-studies, etc.

About the Scool of Computing Instruction at the Georgia Institute of Technology
With more students graduating with a Computer Science degree than any other major at Georgia Tech and the Institute's requirement that every student complete at least one programming course, quality instruction on the foundations of computing has never been more important. The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) was created to serve these critical needs within Georgia Tech and beyond. Our award-winning teaching-focused faculty have three core missions:
Platform for Creativity and Innovation. SCI's creative faculty boldly experiment with new ideas and approaches to pedagogy, while continually re-examining proven methods to ensure their approach is effective and practical across a different set of courses and students. Ultimately, we consider SCI a platform for meaningful experimentation and invite collaborations both within and beyond Georgia Tech to further push the envelope in computing education.
Scalability of Computing Instruction. SCI's faculty design and serve as primary instructors for the College's array of introductory computer science courses, direct the junior design/capstone program for our undergraduate computing majors, and teach a selection of upper-division and graduate level courses that reflect our faculty's varied interests. At the undergraduate level, SCI faculty teach a third of the College's 1000-4000 level course offerings or half of the nearly 9000 undergraduate computing course seats each semester. Job Summary
The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) at Georgia Institute of Technology within the College of Computing was recently founded to recognize the significant contributions of CS teaching-track faculty. We invite applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions. The official appointment of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will be made depending on past teaching experience. Both positions are offered with renewable contracts with an expectation to start in Jan 2025 on Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta campus. Summer teaching for additional compensation is typically available. In addition, SCI faculty are typically allowed to teach at one of Georgia Tech's multiple study-abroad campuses (Berlin, Barcelona, Metz, etc.) during the summer.
The top candidates will be invited to Atlanta for an on-site interview, which involves giving a sample lecture.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to providing high-quality undergraduate teaching. Candidates will be expected to teach a 2-3 class load with the assistance of one teaching assistant for every 25 students. Opportunities to teach graduate courses are also available, as candidates will be matched to courses for which they are the best fit. In addition to teaching, there will be an expectation to participate in service at the School, College, and Institute level. Candidates are also encouraged to engage in scholarship and curriculum development. As part of its budget, SCI earmarks funding for these sorts of activities and makes it available to faculty.
