Job Description

Company: Saniset Fleet

Location: Hollywood / Van Nuys, CA

Pay Range: $22.00 – $28.00 / hour

Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Office (Available for overtime/on-call as needed)

Growth Path: Structured 90-day and 180-day performance reviews with KPI-based pay recalibration.

Role Overview

Saniset Fleet is looking for a Fleet & Mobile Power Specialist to be the hands-on heart of our operations. You are an organized self-starter who takes full ownership of the gear. You will be the "go-to" expert for maintaining our clean-energy inventory (Mobile batteries, EV Vans, specialty equipment) and ensuring our clients—from film sets to live events—have a perfect, reliable power solution.

This is a specialized, "get-your-hands-dirty" role. You aren’t managing from a desk; you are on the floor troubleshooting inverters, wiping down vans to a "Saniset Standard," and ensuring every cable is accounted for before the fleet hits the road.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Jack of All Trades: Maintain and repair company equipment, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and basic software issues (battery systems, inverters, and control interfaces).
  • Manufacturer Coordination: Act as the technical point of contact for manufacturers to handle specialized repairs, source parts, and implement firmware updates.
  • Electrical Diagnostics: Use multimeters and hand tools to troubleshoot low-voltage DC systems and AC power distribution.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Constantly test equipment to identify potential issues before they reach a client. Monitor State of Charge (SOC) to prevent battery degradation.

2. Equipment Readiness & "The Saniset Standard"

  • The Ready Line: Take full ownership of charging, maintaining, and prepping all equipment so it is 100% ready for use.
  • Fleet Detailing: Take pride in the fleet's appearance—you will be responsible for washing EV vans and wiping down gear so everything looks spotless and professional for high-end clients.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Regularly check returns for damage or glitches and ensure SOC is maintained at optimal levels for storage.

3. Client Support & Power Planning

  • Technical Communication: Communicate with clients to calculate total wattage, peak loads, and required run times to ensure they have the right setup.
  • Gear Demonstrations: Provide clear, friendly walkthroughs for clients on how our equipment works; answer technical questions with a "production-friendly" attitude.
  • Deployment Planning: Ensure the selected battery unit is correctly sized for the specific demands of the production.

4. Operations & Warehouse Logistics

  • Equipment Tracking: Manage and track all company equipment, ensuring every record is updated accurately in our rental software.
  • Check-ins & Check-outs: Perform physical equipment check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all cables (Camlocks, Bates), adapters, and accessories are accounted for.
  • Driving & Deliveries: Safely drive company vehicles and tow mobile power units to locations; perform mail runs and equipment deliveries as needed.
  • Software Logs: Use inventory software to update equipment status, maintenance logs, and battery health data.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 5–8 years in mechanical/electrical tech, event production, or rental yard operations.
  • The "Grit" Factor: A proactive mindset. You see a problem—like a dirty van or a low battery—and you fix it immediately without being asked.
  • Logistics & Towing: Proficiency in towing trailers and maneuvering large equipment/vans in tight production spaces. (Note: Using company-provided vehicles).
  • License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. (CDL is a plus).
  • Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of Volts, Amps, and Watts; ability to read technical manuals and communicate with manufacturers.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex power needs to non-technical clients clearly and professionally.
