Role Description
Responsible for all aspects of commercial contracts and supporting team
o Language, terms, and protection clauses
o Pricing, inventory limits, rebate structure, returns, shelf stock
o Unique structures – off invoice, tiered purchase rebates, etc.
o Addendums and offers
o Discontinuation notices
o Price changes and competitive responses
o Full line bids, retractions, and bid updates
o System load-in, updates, and reporting
o Historical pricing, customer challenges, and manufacturer trends
o Overall contract maintenance and review for compliance
· Full responsibility for all P&Ls and margin management for new and existing business
o Review and assess customer price requests, taking into account product strategies, market dynamics, customer relationships, and profitability
o Review and assess pricing for customer RFP and bids accounting for overall impact on sales and profitability
· Lead for pricing committee when pricing set below a set margin, new best price, or other significant price changes
· Responsible for on-going review of commercial business for profitability
· Responsible for all communications with pricing services and setting our list pricing
· Responsible for State Price Transparency Reporting
· Responsible for retail and institutional generic, animal health, and 505(b)(2) portfolios
· Ensure SOPs related to pricing and contracting are maintained and updated as needed
· Lead and coach direct reports on the pricing and contracts team
· Work with IT to effectively manage the bid management system and ensure data is maintained in the system accurately
· Assist with any other ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
Excellent Excel and Word skills required
· Extensive experience with SAP and Vistex preferred
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Analytical with a keen attention to detail
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
· Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision
· Ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Must be 18 years of age or older
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
· Pharmaceutical/generics experience preferred
