Director, Child Care Center
Position Summary
The Director of the Child Care Center provides strategic leadership, operational management, and regulatory oversight for the organization’s childcare services. This role ensures a safe, high‑quality, developmentally appropriate environment for children while aligning the Center’s operations with the organization’s caregiver experience strategy. The Director leads staff development, program quality, compliance, family engagement, and operational excellence, ensuring the Center supports both children and caregivers effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Quality Management
- Provide overall leadership and direction for childcare programs serving infants through pre‑K and school‑age children.
- Ensure developmentally appropriate, evidence‑based curriculum and instructional practices.
- Maintain high-quality learning environments using recognized frameworks (e.g., CLASS, Creative Curriculum, state quality standards).
- Lead continuous improvement efforts based on program data, assessments, and compliance findings.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
- Conduct routine audits of facility, documentation, operations, and staff practices to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate inspections, reporting, incident management, and corrective action plans.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations, scheduling, staffing, enrollment, and financial stewardship of the Center.
- Maintain effective policies, procedures, documentation systems, and operational controls.
- Manage budgeting, purchasing, resource allocation, and cost‑effective program operations.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop childcare staff and early‑childhood educators.
- Ensure ongoing professional development, credentialing, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Build a positive, supportive, inclusive culture that models high-quality childcare practices.
Family Engagement & Communication
- Foster strong relationships with families through communication, responsiveness, and engagement opportunities.
- Promote programs that strengthen family/caregiver involvement and trust.
- Address family concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring transparency and partnership.
Strategic Alignment & Caregiver Experience Integration
- Align Center operations with organizational caregiver experience goals and well‑being strategies.
- Partner with HR, benefits, and employee experience teams to ensure the Center supports workforce needs (e.g., scheduling, priority slots, wrap‑around care).
- Utilize data from satisfaction surveys, trends, and utilization to inform program improvements.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree required in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
$2,500 sign on bonus and $2,500 relocation (greater than 50 miles) – External Applicants Only.
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Outpatient Behavioral Health will provide behavioral health assessment, intervention, and consultation to individuals and/or groups identified as having behavioral health needs; plans treatment modalities, coordinates and follows treatment plans. Will provide crisis evaluation and intervention as needed. The QBHP is recognized as a Qualified Mental Health Professional under Medicaid Community-Based Mental Health Services Rule 140.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree: Psychology; Social Work; Counseling; Related Field.
Experience Requirements
One of the following:
- Successfully completed 1,000 hours of practicum and/or internship under clinical and educational supervision
- One year of documented clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.
Other Requirements
Demonstrates an ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to a range of client situations; has the ability to accurately assess and diagnose; can develop treatment plans and interventions with clients; possesses interpersonal skills, professional attitude and understands the ethical standards of behavioral healthcare. Able to interpret rules and regulations. Possesses good written and oral communication skills. Has the ability to plan and organize their work. Is able to recognize signs of suicidal behavior, assess for lethality, and respond in a clinically appropriate manner.
Responsibilities
Key Accountability
- Performs diagnostic assessments, collects diagnostic information, and determines immediate treatment plan needs with patients. Requests medical consultation, where indicated, in a diligent and timely manner.
- Completes treatment plan in conjunction with patient, identifying goals/objectives that are connected to needs identified in the assessment.
- Provides behavioral health therapy to individuals, families and/or groups identified as having behavioral health needs.
- Coordinates with Emergency Response Service and other crisis service teams for clients presenting who may be a danger to self or others.
- Maintains records in accordance with TrilliumPlace policies, as well as state and federal oversight agencies and accreditation agencies including Joint Commission, Medicaid, Medicaid Rehabilitation Option, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Commercial Insurances.
- Acts as a liaison and resource between the community and patient needs; coordinates treatment goals with community agencies, primary care physicians, court system, and managed-care entities.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $25.97per hour - $43.37per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for two Project Scientists at the Assistant, Associate, or full rank. The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world-leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. ABC was intentionally designed to maximize scientific productivity and impact by adopting groundbreaking imaging technologies such as the next-generation adaptive optical multifunctional microscope, incorporating the high-level technical expertise of instrumentation scientists, applied mathematicians, and computational scientists, and building worldwide collaborations aimed at tackling the challenges posed by terabyte and petabyte-scale imaging data processing, visualization, and dissemination. Members of the ABC have access to leading - edge imaging and computing hardware, as well as exposure to collaborators from a range of diverse disciplines, including in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, and more.
The Assistant/Associate/Full Project Scientists will be an integral part of a visionary scientific team driving cutting-edge biological discoveries through immediate applications of critical advances in imaging technologies. These positions will work with a dedicated team to develop data analytics software in terabyte- to petabyte-scale imaging projects. The incumbents will develop and refine machine learning applications and manage projects and provide regular progress reports to PIs and collaborators.
Successful candidates will be an integral part of the expert team working together with computational scientists and biologists in experimental design to tackle complex biological questions in a quantitative manner. The work will primarily be conducted at the facility in Barker Hall. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
*Make significant and creative contributions to development of new imaging and data processing tools for datasets generated on multicellular tissues, organoids, transparent embryos.
*Design, build, and maintain new software packages for efficient data processing.
*Advise on applications of these tools for biological imaging; collaborate with Postdocs and graduate students on specific projects to test, learn and implement for general and specific use cases.
*General organization and management of software documentation.
*Bring cross disciplinary expertise to solve problems at the intersection between life science, computer vision, and state-of-the-art AI methods.
*Work with petabyte-scale light sheet datasets that are typically 4D or 5D (x,y,z,t,chemistry). Identify and implement scalable solutions to scientific questions on large-scale data sets, especially using performant algorithms.
*Develop machine learning approaches, computer vision tools to help pre-process dataset and annotations to generate groundtruth benchmarks.
*Contribute to dissemination via open source code repositories, demonstrations, publications, presentation.

The purpose of this project is to develop a foundation AI model capable of extracting biological insights from 4D (x,y,z,time) datasets of subcellular dynamics within physiological contexts and across scales. Incumbent will advance imaging to generate petabytes of targeted and high quality datasets necessary to prototype and build this model. The Assistant/Associate/Full Project Scientists will help develop and execute the research program focused around ABC's overarching goal of moving cell biology away from the coverslip and into physiological systems. These positions will work within a dedicated team to develop and refine the microscopy techniques. This position will manage projects and provide regular progress reports to PIs and collaborators.
The incumbent will spend 90% of their time on ABC research goals and managing and maintaining equipment in the lab and 10% of their time training/supervising collaborators, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on MOSAIC/iAOLLSM capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
*Make significant and creative contributions to designing, building, and testing of a new high throughput adaptive optical inverted lattice light-sheet microscope (iAO-LLSM). This instrument aims to achieve a 10-fold increase in data acquisition throughput while maintaining the high-quality optical performance demonstrated in our previous work.
*Use, maintain, and oversee the operations of the two next-generation multimodal optical scopes with adaptive imaging correction (MOSAIC) microscopes at the ABC.
*Actively participate in handling/mounting biological samples on advanced microscopes and collect 4/5D datasets.
*Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of AI scientists, data engineers, instrumentation scientists and biologists and generate high resolution microscopy data using novel transparent developing organism reagents necessary to reach the goal of prototyping and training a 4D foundation model.
*Actively participate in national and international collaborations, presentation of research findings at scientific conferences, and publication of results in leading peer-reviewed journals.
*The incumbent will actively participate in and occasionally lead efforts to develop new projects.

About the Role

The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for up to three Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist positions in the Upadhyayula Lab, in the area of Biological Science .
The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. ABC was intentionally designed to maximize scientific productivity and impact by adopting groundbreaking imaging technologies such as the next-generation adaptive optical multifunctional microscope, incorporating the high-level technical expertise of instrumentation scientists , applied mathematicians, and computational scientists, and building worldwide collaborations aimed at tackling the challenges posed by terabyte and petabyte-scale imaging data processing, visualization, and dissemination. You will have access to leading - edge imaging and computing hardware, as well as exposure to the Bay Area's brightest minds from a range of diverse disciplines, including in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, and more.
The positions involve close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing empirical projects in the fields of microscopy and data analysis. The incumbent will work on tera-to-petabyte scale research data and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to and training with a broad set of research topics and methodologies. The roles exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

* Operate and maintain the next generation multi-functional adaptive optical microscope(s) and other pre-commercial optical microscopes.

Provides triage, assessment and treatment to patients and families, assists with disposition planning and provision of education and resources, initiates psychiatric holds. Operates as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician. Responsibilities:
- Implements counseling/therapy for assigned patients in both individual and group settings. Interviews and assesses patients and/or patient's family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.
- Determines, provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions. Participates and/or arranges case reviews/care conferences to evaluate progress.
- Assists with discharge planning and processes, including identification of community-based resources, and provides referrals as part of the discharge plan. Assesses, collaborates and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
- Utilizes appropriate teaching methods and/or referrals to ensure patient/family educational needs are met. Participates and/or trains new staff, students and interns as assigned.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- State licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD), or other licensure/certification may be acceptable as approved by department leadership.

About the Role
The Behavioral Analyst performs a variety of direct care and supervisory duties, including conducting client assessments and observing clients to identify target behaviors. This role collaborates with clients (ages 2–21), their families, and other service providers to develop and implement an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP). The ITP focuses on identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths, as well as opportunities for improvement through continued development and review of preference assessments, reinforcement strategies, and other rehabilitative activities prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and aligned with the ITP.
Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive client assessments and behavioral observations
· Identify target behaviors and develop measurable treatment goals
· Develop and implement Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs)
· Collaborate with clients (ages 2–21), families, and multidisciplinary service providers
· Review and update preference assessments and reinforcement strategies
· Implement rehabilitative strategies and activities prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist
· Provide direct care services in alignment with ABA best practices
· Provide supervision and leadership as appropriate
· Ensure documentation and services comply with regulatory and licensing requirements
· Maintain appropriate PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
Required Qualifications
· Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification
· Hold a graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), psychology, social work, education, or counseling.
· Active PA License as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, or certified registered nurse practitioner
· Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services
· Ability to pass PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
· Leadership/supervision experience preferred but not required
