The Project manager for Healthcare/T.I. is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all resources for the successful execution of a project.

The Project Manager will supervise a project team of skilled operations professionals who support departmental and organizational goals through their efforts.


Job Responsibilities includes (but may not be limited to):

  • Sets safety, quality, schedule, cost and owner relationship goals.
  • Provides input and supervises all pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, job cost set-up, bid packages and project pre-planning.
  • Works with the VP of Operations to obtain the personnel resources required to properly staff the project.
  • 100% Detailed/hands-on knowledge of Project Scope.
  • Reviews project proposal or plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Manages the financial aspects of contracts; assures job margin analysis is completed on a regular basis.
  • Develops baseline project schedule with assistance from Superintendent and/or VP of Operations.
  • Monitors and reports project cost and schedule performance; recommends corrective actions if needed.
  • Manages the scope of work and has mastery of the contract documents.
  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external project team members to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement and timeline.
  • Analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize the ability to meet agreed upon deliverables.
  • Reviews change orders for accuracy.
  • Reviews and takes action on contractor pay requests and invoicing.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for Level 10 management, owner or others.
  • Manages claims; identifies and resolves potential claims with subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Participates in project coordination meetings.
  • Ensures adherence to insurance, safety, labor relations, EEO and tax regulations.
  • Monitors and ensures quality control.
  • Works with Safety Director to ensure jobs have safe working conditions and safe work practices are in place.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with key owners and architects.
  • Accountable for project completion and financials, Critical Success Factors, Customer Satisfaction Results.
  • Directs and ensures timely completion of project close-out activities.
  • Other duties upon request.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience in the construction industry. Healthcare or T.I. experience needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Prolog or similar) and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective participation in team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required.
  • Strong emphasis on fostering a safe working environment for all employees.

Essential Functions

Individual will need the ability to coach, precept, and develop the night shift staff in both professionalism/behaviors and technical skills. Also, demonstrates good clinical leadership, good communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Must demonstrate the ability to accept and institute change.

Works with the manager to ensure adequate staffing for the night shift.

Hold people accountable for service standards and expectations. Provides guidance, counseling, and disciplinary action when appropriate. When conflicts arise, promptly addressed through good listening and seeking to understand multiple perspectives. Demonstrates empathy when dealing with others.

Participates in PI data gathering to provide measures of how clinical practice is being administered.

Evaluates and monitors therapy provided to insure optimal level of care consistent with departmental policies and procedures.

Performs clinical problem solving skills to be able to approach decisions through proper evaluation and to be able to rearrange priorities.

Tracks inventories of medical equipment used in the department and works with manager to ensure proper levels are maintained.

Ensures equipment is clean, processed, and in proper working order at all times before leaving the shift; assures the department is clean and in an organized condition.

Functions as a role model in Respiratory Care demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills and appropriate knowledge base.

Department Specific Job Function

Ensure new night shift staff have the support, knowledge skills, and resources needed to fulfill the job description. This would also include completion of all orientation check offs and required competencies.

Provides clinical support and assistance to the Respiratory Care staff.

Review night shift staffing with Manager and leader on call weekly.

Assist Manager in completing performance evaluations and check in's on night shift staff.

Ensure all code boxes are checked and stocked routinely.

Check consumable supply levels weekly and order supplies as needed. Make Manager aware of any back-orders.

Checks outdates on disinfectant tubs and ensures documentation of testing is done on schedule.

Performs any special projects that may come up or be assigned by the Manager.

Assists manager completing and monitoring payroll.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $37.82per hour - $65.05per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. Essential Functions

Individual will need the ability to coach, precept, and develop the night shift staff in both professionalism/behaviors and technical skills. Also, demonstrates good clinical leadership, good communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Must demonstrate the ability to accept and institute change.

Works with the manager to ensure adequate staffing for the night shift.

Hold people accountable for service standards and expectations. Provides guidance, counseling, and disciplinary action when appropriate. When conflicts arise, promptly addressed through good listening and seeking to understand multiple perspectives. Demonstrates empathy when dealing with others.

Participates in PI data gathering to provide measures of how clinical practice is being administered.

Evaluates and monitors therapy provided to insure optimal level of care consistent with departmental policies and procedures.

Performs clinical problem solving skills to be able to approach decisions through proper evaluation and to be able to rearrange priorities.

Tracks inventories of medical equipment used in the department and works with manager to ensure proper levels are maintained.

Ensures equipment is clean, processed, and in proper working order at all times before leaving the shift; assures the department is clean and in an organized condition.

Functions as a role model in Respiratory Care demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills and appropriate knowledge base.

Department Specific Job Function

Ensure new night shift staff have the support, knowledge skills, and resources needed to fulfill the job description. This would also include completion of all orientation check offs and required competencies.

Provides clinical support and assistance to the Respiratory Care staff.

Review night shift staffing with Manager and leader on call weekly.

Assist Manager in completing performance evaluations and check in's on night shift staff.

Ensure all code boxes are checked and stocked routinely.

Check consumable supply levels weekly and order supplies as needed. Make Manager aware of any back-orders.

Checks outdates on disinfectant tubs and ensures documentation of testing is done on schedule.

Performs any special projects that may come up or be assigned by the Manager.

Assists manager completing and monitoring payroll.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $37.82per hour - $65.05per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. Essential Activities and Tasks 

Expectation and Care Management - 60%

  • Initiates contact with physician for orders and treatment plan formulation and/or revision as the patient’s condition requires.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of the patient OASIS assessments, Evaluations, and discharge OASIS documentation. 

  • Performs physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician, evaluating and treating patients by applying appropriate therapy techniques and modalities in client’s home environment. 

  • Recommends modifications or changes in the patients’ Plan of Care based on evaluation of their progress toward the patient goals.

  • Educates/instructs/recommends patient, family members and other health team members of the proper techniques, for exercise program, precautions and self care activities to assure safety for caregivers and patient.

  • Participates in the interdisciplinary team meeting (ITM) by exchanging team information on the progress and discharge plan in order to provide the highest level of continuity of care for the patient.

  • Communicates with client, family members, clients’ advocate(s), caregivers and physicians on patient’s progress and discharge plan on a regular basis.

  • Conducts home visits to implement the patient’s Plan of Care in use of therapeutic and self care activities for the purpose of improving function and safety in order to allow the patient to return home at their highest level of function and independence.

  • Participates in discharge planning by exchanging information with staff members, family members and physician to promote continuity of client care, in accordance with corporate policies, federal, state and local guidelines.

  • Ensures that all work areas, treatment areas and equipment are maintained in a clean, sanitary and safe manner.

Administration and Reporting - 20%

  • Maintains current and accurate patient records through use of personal EMR device, and paper/chart documentation in accordance with company, federal, state, and local guidelines.

People Management and Development - 10%

  • Coaches and influences the work of the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (LPTA) regarding the performance expectations of their position. 

  • Fosters a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates employees.

  • Interviews, selects, and orients new employees.

  • Defines, establishes, and promotes performance expectations so staff understands and demonstrates excellence through high quality and consistent performance.

  • Evaluates job performance of staff in accordance with the company policy and procedure and provides developmental guidance to staff for improved performance and growth.

Qualifications

Education

  • Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) required.

Experience

  • One year experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health agency preferred. New graduates welcome.

  • Experience in the care of geriatric and physical therapy patients required.

  • Knowledge of treatment modalities.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards.

Position Summary:
