Therapeutic Certified Recreational Therapist
Part Time Position, supporting Grand Rapids and surrounding areas
Range: $25 - $32 per hour

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy.
- Two years of experience in a rehabilitation environment and/or work with persons with neurological and developmental deficits.
- Certification of CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist).
- Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques relative to recreation for persons with diverse neurological impairment.
- Ability to interpret evaluations from various disciplines (Neuropsychology, Occupational/Speech/Physical Therapies) and understand the relevance to your practice.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Part Time, Supporting Grand Rapids and surrounding areas
Range: $30 - $40 per hour

In the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant role, you will help this company in its commitment to serving others by administering occupational therapy treatment to program participants according to a program plan developed by a licensed occupational therapist.
- A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will assure all program participants receive scheduled occupational therapy treatments and documents therapy sessions.
- Perform active, passive and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, general therapy principles on program participants.
- Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contra-indications of heating modalities and techniques.
- Fabricate appropriate splints under instruction of occupational therapist and instructs program participant in splint wear and care.
- Train program participants in homebound and community level, including endurance training.
- As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant you will maintain a good working knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program
- Two years experience in neuro–rehabilitation preferred
- Licensed as COTA/L in State.

Physical Therapist Assistant
Part Time position supporting Grand Rapids, MI and surrounding areas
Range: $35 - $45 per hour

- Administer physical therapy treatments to patients, working under the direction of and as an assistant to the Physical Therapists.
- Assure all program participants receive scheduled PT (Physical Therapy) treatments and document therapy session or reason for inability to attend.
- Perform active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, based on general therapy principles, on program participants.
- Perform therapeutic massage on program participants as needed.
- Perform general mobilization and/or passive stretch to program participants, within limits of safety regarding joint/muscle stretch.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist program participants in learning and improving functional activities.
- Provide gait training and instruct program participants in the use of canes, crutches, walkers, braces, and splints; train program participants at homebound and community level, including endurance training.
- Measure ROM, length and girth of body parts, vital signs, and MMT (manual muscle tests) to assist Physical Therapist in evaluating program participants and/or to determine the effectiveness of the program plan.
- Confer with staff members and other health care members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program and participate in treatment planning with trans-disciplinary team as requested.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional code of ethics, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contra-indications of physical therapy modalities and techniques.
- Assess PT equipment for needs and maintenance.
Qualifications:

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Program Leaders, HR, Quality & Compliance, and other key stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate training programs for residential and clinical staff on nursing procedures. Develop instructional materials and methods that support effective skill acquisition and high-quality patient care.
- Lead Medication Administration Training for residential staff. Develop and refine curriculum to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create instructional materials, evaluate commercially produced resources, and maintain current educational supplies and equipment.
- Conduct nursing assessments of referrals to identify program needs, including staff training requirements for safe and competent patient care.
- Provide direct treatment, education, and therapeutic interventions according to individual goals and physician/RN instructions, following program Basic Health protocols.
- Ensure safe program operations by enforcing safety guidelines, teaching general safety practices, and maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Participate in onboarding and training of new staff, as well as student training programs.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Nursing (as required for RN licensure).
