Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.

GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as: Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.

Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.

Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.

Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with patients diagnosed with diabetes and their families, to facilitate improving self-management age specific goals for all patients; providing lifestyle coaching, and conducting one-on-one patient visits and group visits in a hospital clinic setting.
- Providing patient and family education; collaborating with outside community resources including but not limited to school and insurer-based case coordination services.
- Providing case management including oversight and interpretation of laboratory results for patients with diabetes; ordering of therapeutics, durable medical supplies and refills for prescription medications; as well as coordination of referrals and diagnostic studies as needed in consultation with the patient’s physician.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

- Master’s degree in Nursing with FNP or PNP (for NPs)

Experience:

- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Minimum 2 years as a Diabetes Nurse Educator with a strong clinical background and experience in content areas such as patient education, diabetes, diabetes technologies (insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, smart pens), nutrition, physical fitness and other health related topics preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and previous experience working with diverse patient populations across the age spectrum.
- The ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team which includes nutrition, social workers, physicians, and other diabetes nurse educators.

- If appropriately licensed, performs treatments as necessary to assist in times of high census, staffing shortages, and/or to assist with managing staffing costs as appropriate.
- Confer routinely with Technical Program Manager and Technical Operations Manager to ensure preventative maintenance program for routine machine maintenance, to ensure the timely repair of disabled machines, to coordinate infection control measures, routine culturing, water testing, logging of results, transportation of equipment and supplies and communicate technical information to the staff.
- Ensure all acute treatments are performed in contracted hospitals according to the established policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure efficient utilization of supplies and equipment.

The Department of Dermatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an academic medical dermatologist with interests in patient care and teaching. Our department of 17 dermatologists provides unique opportunities for medical dermatologists to practice and teach at the Medical Center in the Longwood Medical Area and in our department’s state-of-the-art practices in Chestnut Hill and/or Needham.
In addition to providing comprehensive care in the General Dermatology clinics, the Department also offers 16 subspecialty clinics and programs including atopic dermatitis, patch testing, hidradenitis suppurativa, high risk, pigmented lesions and melanoma. These clinics offer both in-depth and multidisciplinary care for the most complex patient conditions, and provide a more sophisticated learning environment for the Department’s trainees. Our cosmetic practice offers a full range of leading-edge services utilizing lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, and injectables. Additionally, an on-site pharmacist and inpatient consult service provide crucial support to patients and faculty.
The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Dermatology research program is comprised of a group of researchers interested in clinical/translational research and epidemiology with a support structure of critical core resources. All faculty are encouraged to develop projects that lead to tangible contributions and a published manuscript.
Academics and compensation:
As a major Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, we are one of the primary training sites for the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program, and we also provide training for medical school students and fellows. Ideal candidates must have excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching and working with residents. Interest in clinical research is strongly encouraged. The candidate must be board eligible or certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. A commitment to the values of an academic environment is required. Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD-PhD, and Board Certification in Dermatology. The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) – Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH) Department of Medicine seeks an academic and clinical leader to serve as Chief of the MGH-BWH Division of Palliative Care, Aging, and Geriatric Medicine. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of palliative care and geriatric medicine as the Division becomes integrated across two of the nation’s leading medical institutions. A primary responsibility of the new Division Chief will be to create and build a new Palliative Care clinical service (for both oncology and non-oncology patients) at the BWH location, and to collaborate with the MGB Cancer Institute on designing an enterprise-wide strategy.

The Chief will work closely with faculty and leadership in the Department of Medicine at MGH-BWH to advance the Division’s mission in clinical care, education, research, and community health. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, administration, and management, as well as a record of research and academic achievement. They will bring a collaborative, forward-thinking approach, with a special emphasis on transparent, effective communication, deep listening, and the ability to unite and inspire teams around a shared vision. A commitment to multidisciplinary care models, advancing high-quality care for all patients, and fostering clinical and scientific collaboration is essential.

The Division of Palliative Care, Aging, and Geriatric Medicine (PCAGM) at MGH-BWH is the academic home for 70 faculty members, many of whom have built nationally recognized programs that advance clinical care, research, and education. The Division supports robust training programs for medical students, internal medicine residents, and 15 palliative care and geriatric medicine fellows. The clinical activities of the Division span multiple outpatient practices and inpatient consultative programs throughout the Mass General Brigham health system. The Chief will play a key role in strengthening these programs and expanding collaborative efforts across Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School.

The candidate must meet the requirements for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have an MD and Board Certification in Palliative Care and/or Geriatric Medicine.
