Responsibilities

- Vendor & Compliance Management: Serve as SME for LOA and Workers’ Compensation, monitoring TPA administration to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and company laws (FMLA, PDL, PFML). Review short-term disability certifications and facilitate monthly TPA operations meetings.

- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, HRBPs, Payroll, Legal, and IT regarding eligibility, approvals, extensions, and return-to-work (RTW) processes. Partner with HR Compliance on ADA accommodations for restricted RTW cases.

- Data Integrity & Analysis: Regularly audit LOA data and TPA transactions to ensure accuracy. Identify trends, provide analytical insights, and recommend process improvements.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an exceptional and dynamic, fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our program in Orlando, Florida. Ideal candidate would have several years of experience as well as specific interests in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, which will be in collaboration with our new, dedicated pediatric neuro oncologist and a plastics craniofacial surgeon respectively.

Our team includes support of two pediatric neurosurgeons with the support of three PA's who provide care on both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The hospital has eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64 slice intraoperative CT. As part of AdventHealth for Children, we have a dedicated 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. We also have Monteris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric epilepsy. The goal is to become a leading best practice model that is research based, data driven and led by experts. We are the longest continual member of COG in the Central Florida community.

Our surgical epilepsy program is the second busiest program in the nation and that we have been number one in volume in Florida for 10 straight years. One the medical side, our pediatric neurology and epilepsy team is also continuing to expand as we provide care for patients from around the country in our Level IV program.

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 peds ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center totals over 23,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida. The AdventHealth Urology Residency Program seeks an academically driven Core Faculty Member to join its ACGME-accredited program in Orlando, FL. The faculty member will support resident education, clinical excellence, and scholarly activity while advancing AdventHealth’s mission: “To Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ.”

Role Summary
  • Teach, mentor, and supervise residents across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain ACGME compliance and program quality.
  • Lead or participate in didactics, case conferences, journal clubs, and simulation training (Nicholson Center).
  • Serve on key residency committees (CCC, PEC, Curriculum, Recruitment).
  • Maintain an active clinical practice in urology and model high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, and scholarly publication.
  • Support program operations, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.


Qualifications
Required:

  • MD/DO, Florida medical license (or eligibility).
  • Strong commitment to resident education and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Alignment with AdventHealth mission and values.

Preferred:

  • Fellowship training in a urologic subspecialty.
  • Prior academic or teaching experience. (will also consider new grads with interest in teaching)
  • Record of scholarly activity.
  • Familiarity with ACGME standards and simulation-based education.
