The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. Must have experience in performing paralegal tasks from the on-set of suit through a jury trial. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, scheduling, preparing discovery and medical summaries, maintaining case files, and completing other reasonable requests as needed. Competitive benefits and salary based upon ability and experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court
• Communications with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
• Draft and serve summons
• Coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits
• Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
• Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics)
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
• Aid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
• Witness preparation
• Assisting with case settlements
• Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

• Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Experience
• 5+ years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
• Familiar with both State and Federal Court filings
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling case-related documents and information.

• Interacts with court personnel, attorneys and staff in a professional manner to obtain and provide data, answer questions, and resolve problems.
• Prepares and reviews letters and memoranda according to Firm standards using word processing and document management systems.
• Proactively monitors deadlines.
• Processes requests for payment and reimbursements.
• Assists in managing client contacts, emails, and print documents as well as processing mail.
• Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner.
• Transcribes dictation.
• Files documents with courts electronically.
• Drafts documents and filings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs is required.
• Proficiency with Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, iManage, Bighand or those software programs’ counterparts strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the litigation process and general court operations.
• Ability to read and identify pleadings and other documents related to a litigation matter.
• Ability to communicate effectively with, and follow instructions from, diverse individuals and to provide information with courtesy and tact in person, over the telephone and in writing.

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + Excellent Benefits

A well-established Central Florida general contractor with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality commercial projects is looking to add an experienced Senior Superintendent to its growing field team. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, this role will initially focus on a $15M site development project in the DeLand area, with additional commercial projects following.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on commercial construction projects from sitework through final completion.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient jobsite operations.
• Coordinate daily construction activities to maintain project schedule and productivity.
• Work closely with project managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Identify and resolve jobsite challenges, sequencing conflicts, and coordination issues.
• Maintain organized, safe, and productive jobsites.
• Develop strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Oversee daily jobsite operations including scheduling subcontractors and managing field progress.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with project management to track project milestones and schedules.
• Maintain project documentation including daily reports, jobsite photos, and updates using systems such as Procore.
• Lead jobsite meetings and communicate progress updates to the project team.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage punch lists and support project closeout activities.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial construction with significant time spent in a Superintendent role.
• Proven ability to run ground-up commercial projects from sitework through completion.
• Experience in commercial sectors such as retail, industrial, self-storage, or similar developments.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field coordination.
• Demonstrated leadership managing subcontractors and maintaining jobsite productivity.
• Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore.
• Self-starter who can operate independently and solve problems proactively.
