and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join our growing department.

This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor rank.

The faculty member will provide clinical services at the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, UT Medicine, and affiliated facilities to include Nuclear Medicine night and weekend, and ER weekend coverage as needed.

Additional responsibilities include teaching medical students, supervising residents and fellows.

An established record of accomplishment in education and research are desired.

Candidates should be authorized users and experienced with full range of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic studies and therapies.

Our hospital and clinics are regional referral centers for Oncology and has partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center, for trauma, organ transplantation, other surgical and medicine subspecialties.

The Nuclear Medicine section is also site for the combined ACGME-accredited Nuclear Medicine residency program in collaboration with San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC).

Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art scanners including PET/CT and SPECT/CT.

Faculty members participate in and have opportunities to develop research interests within the department and in collaboration with researchers in the basic and clinical science departments throughout the campus.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (dual board certification is preferred), have a Texas State Medical License or able to obtain a Texas State Medical License prior to employment.

Salary and rank is commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor/Clinical level for a non-tenure track position. The successful candidate must have a strong interest in developing an academic career.The applicant must meet the minimum requirements (MD, DO, board eligible or board certified, Texas Medical license or eligibility, successful completion of an accredited residency/fellowship).

The primary duties of the clinical endocrinologist include inpatient at University Hospital and outpatient responsibilities, with opportunities for clinical research and teaching delivered at UT Health San Antonios Gateway and the new Multispecialty and Research Hospital. The Division has an outstanding clinical fellowship program. UT Health San Antonio enjoys a collaborative relationship with the adjacent VA Hospital.
