This role works closely with our attorneys to manage current cases, ensure timely results, and maintain client relations. Assistants are assigned to an attorney/s and stay on matters from beginning to end.

Skills:

• Detail oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and be a team player with the ability to collaborate with other Assistants and Paralegals when needed
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Experience in drafting documents including pre-litigation correspondence, demands, records requests, etc.
• Experience in drafting litigation documents including intial pleadings, discovery, motions, etc.
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorney teams with drafting, file management, and filing with various Nevada Courts, including state and federal
• Should be familar with filing in Nevada District, Municple, and Justice Courts, including in Clark County, Nye County, Washoe County, etc.
• Managing pre-litigation and litigation matters
• Calendaring deadlines

The Position:

We are seeking a full-time Senior Litigation Associate to join our talented legal team in Las Vegas, NV. This role offers a remote work model. (Remote position, however, must live within driving distance to the local office as occasional onsite work may be required.) You will be integral to our civil litigation defense efforts, managing various aspects of case management and client representation: drafting and filing motions, preparing for and attending court trials, conducting depositions and providing legal counsel to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file motions, pleadings and discovery.
• Represent clients in trial, arbitrations, depositions and mediations.
• Update clients and/or their insurers.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients.
• Manage day-to-day litigation tasks.
• Meet and maintain annual firm billable requirements monthly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of law and civil litigation procedures.
• Proven track record of drafting and arguing motions.
• Ability to effectively navigate the court system.
• Experience in trial preparation and courtroom representation.
• Skilled in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Active member of the Nevada State Bar.
• Prior experience in construction or casualty claims a plus.
