Responsibilities:
* Clinical Coverage:
* Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Perform endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
* Call Coverage:
* Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert consultation and treatment for gastroenterology cases.
* Patient Care:
* Manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases.
* Round on unassigned patients as needed.
Qualifications:
* Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology.
* Fellowship: Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is required.
* Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
* Certifications Required:
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
* Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Hospital Privileges: Required, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 45-60 days.
* Temporary Privileges: Not available.
Additional Information:
* Consultation Role: The Gastroenterologist will consult on both inpatient and outpatient cases, providing specialized care in gastrointestinal diseases.
