- St. Luke’s Division of Pediatric Nephrology is currently the only pediatric nephrology program in the Lehigh Valley area.
- Through a partnership with DaVita Dialysis, the Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers the only pediatric dialysis (PD and HD) services in the region. Rounding on outpatient dialysis patients is required. These modalities are also available for patients in our PICU and inpatient pediatric unit.
- In 2023, St. Luke’s announced the establishment of St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus and is a proud member of the Children’s Hospital Association, representing decades of growth and investment in pediatrics and the Network’s commitment to pediatric services.

The HCM Center at St. Luke’s, now in its 15th year of operation, serves a growing patient population referred from a broad geographic region across eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. The center currently manages approximately 700 active patients and receives 2–3 new referrals each week. Active programs include myosin inhibitor therapy (with more than 70 patients enrolled), alcohol septal ablation, and surgical septal myectomy. The network offers comprehensive expertise in electrophysiology procedures, device implantation, and advanced heart failure management. Genetic testing and counseling are available through multiple vendors. Clinical outcomes have been comparable to those reported by large academic urban centers.

- St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and Department of Pediatrics consists of inpatient, neonatal, emergency medicine, specialty and primary care providers spread across a variety of practice locations.
- Pediatric EM providers can admit patients to the Children’s Hospital’s 17 bed inpatient unit and 8 bed PICU. A pediatric hospitalist and pediatric intensivist are in house 24/7.
- The department is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists spanning 40 specialty areas including pediatric surgery, GI, endocrinology, nephrology, developmental pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, anesthesia, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and more!

St. Luke’s Neurosurgical Associates (SLNA) based out of the Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join a collegial, well-established, hospital employed group of 10 neurosurgeons and 1 interventional neuroradiologist. This is the pre-eminent neurosurgery practice in the Lehigh Valley/Bethlehem/Easton region of Pennsylvania with a strong referral base and solid track record of developing multidisciplinary neuroscience programs with administrative support.
The special feature of this group is the quality of the partners and their scope of practice. There is excellent multi-disciplinary collaboration with neurology, neuro-oncology, physiatry, pain management and other services within the institution. Successful candidates will be comfortable with all aspects of general neurosurgery. Fellowship-training in GENERAL and COMPLEX SPINE is a must. Candidate will be expected to provide on-call general neurosurgery coverage. Most current partners have sub-specialty fellowship training but are comfortable with general neurosurgery. Primary call will be equitably shared with other providers in the group (on average 1 in 6 primary call). Significant inpatient support from trauma, medicine, and ICU services. Block OR time available for new providers in fully equipped OR’s.
Features of the practice:
- Network comprised of 16 campuses. Primary neurosurgical call is dedicated to physically cover the Neuroscience Hub (Level 1 Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center) as well as two level 2 trauma centers; ER calls can come from all locations, but anything urgent/surgical being transferred to one of the above
- Comprehensive Stroke Center, with separate cerebrovascular/endovascular call structure
- Minimal pediatric neurosurgery cases – stabilized and transferred
- Electronic office and hospital medical records (Epic), including home access including to PACS
- Referrals developed from extensive Network owned PCP practices, 13 Network ERs, neurology, spine & pain practice, oncology, ENT, etc. No in-network neurosurgery competition. 1 spine focused orthopedic surgeon in Network – very collegial relationship.
- Extensive core of Advanced Practitioners to assist in ORs, facilitate rounding, office volumes, etc.
- Neurosurgery group has recently transitioned to vertical AP model with each neurosurgeon partnering with one AP. New hire will have similar opportunity.
- Medical draw area of 1.1M residents in 11 counties
