Responsibilities
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine setting. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to pregnant women.
- Explains exam to patient and family prior to the commencement of the test to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Acquires anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data.
- Records/processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure.
- Creates a preliminary report for physician interpretation and review/signature.
- Assists physician with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies.
- Follows the accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two-dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode where applicable.
- Rotates as needed to cover Sonographer absences.
- Performs related and other assigned duties as directed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in OB/GYN.
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
- CPR certification required.
- Fetal Echo certification - required to obtain within 1 year of hire.
Experience
- Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred.
Experience Industry: Healthcare
Skills/Abilities:
- Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology Cardiologist provides high-quality specialty care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders in a community-based hospital setting. This role involves evaluating and managing complex arrhythmias, performing electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures, and implanting and managing cardiac rhythm devices. The electrophysiologist collaborates with cardiology and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care while supporting comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders in inpatient and outpatient community-based settings
Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures appropriate to a community hospital program
Implant, program, and manage cardiac rhythm devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices
Interpret ECGs, ambulatory and implantable cardiac monitoring data, and intracardiac recordings
Provide longitudinal outpatient follow-up and continuity of care for electrophysiology patients
Collaborate closely with general cardiologists, hospitalists, emergency department providers, anesthesia, nursing, and procedural teams
Participate in shared call coverage and support hospital-based electrophysiology services
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
