As a Staff Attorney, you will provide direct legal services to individuals with criminal records, with a primary focus on clemency advocacy through Ohio’s Expedited Pardon Project (EPP). This role centers on client‑focused representation, community engagement, and practical legal solutions that remove long‑standing barriers to employment, housing, and civic participation.


In addition, as the Staff Attorney you will:


  • Lead clemency‑focused representation through Ohio’s Expedited Pardon Project, including evaluating clients, preparing pardon applications, and preparing clients for Parole Board review, as applicable.
  • Provide direct legal services to people with criminal records, including record sealing, expungement, Certificates of Qualification for Employment (CQEs), and Certificates of Qualification for Housing (CQHs).
  • Conduct client intake, case evaluation, and ongoing client support throughout representation.
  • Participate in Second Chance Legal Clinics, community outreach, and public education related to record relief and clemency.
  • Collaborate with OJPC legal staff on litigation and advocacy supporting broader organizational priorities, as needed.
  • Assist with program data tracking, reporting, and related administrative support.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Juris Doctor or advanced law degree.
  • Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligibility consistent with Ohio Supreme Court rules).
  • Strong research, writing, analytic, and advocacy skills.

Manufacturing Automation Engineer Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ engineering experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in a manufacturing environment; specific familiarity with plastic injection molding is a plus
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting, and electromechanical maintenance operations
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, electrical schematics, and maintenance documents
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and TS 16949 requirements is a plus
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
  • This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

About the Role

The Employee Benefits Account Executive is with a large insurance brokerage that has a wide geographic reach but still takes a local approach to client management. They encourage a collaborative culture. Most of their accounts are in the Midwest and travel will be required to meet with clients on-site. They require a hybrid schedule is you’re near an existing office and to work EST hours.


Duties & Responsibilities

This role is designed to work on large group health and welfare accounts. Most accounts are over 100 lives with the target being 500+. Self-funded knowledge will be an important component of your job. Other responsibilities include:


  • Negotiate renewals
  • Prepare for and participate in renewal and strategy meetings
  • Coordinate RFPs, data analysis, spreadsheeting, utilization/financial reports, plan documents, and so on
  • Lead the oversight and execution of daily service issues, resolve escalated issues, compliance related matters, etc.


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum seven (7) years of life and health insurance industry experience providing client management & consultation to larger cases at a major medical insurance company or retail agency/broker
  • Senior account manager capabilities including involvement in the sales process (renewal presentations, reviews, carrier negotiations)
  • State insurance license
