Job Description

We are seeking an AWS-focused engineer to build and operate a cloud analytics and dashboard layer for device and fleet data. Data lands in S3 and is queried primarily through Amazon Athena. You will own the end-to-end delivery of reliable datasets, SQL queries, and visualization dashboards used by engineering and operations teams. This role requires strong execution in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with a high bar for quality, operational excellence, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own dashboard and analytics deliverables end-to-end (design → build → test → release → operate).
• Build and maintain Amazon Athena SQL queries, views, and datasets that support filtering, drill-down analysis, and repeatable reporting.
• Develop and enhance dashboards using QuickSight and/or CloudWatch dashboards (or equivalent AWS-native visualization tooling).
• Define metrics/KPIs with stakeholders and translate requirements into clear, actionable visualizations.
• Improve cost and performance of analytics workflows (partition strategies, query optimization, efficient formats, and operational guardrails).
• Drive data quality and correctness: detect schema changes, missing partitions, late data, and regressions; write RCAs and implement durable fixes.
• Implement mechanisms that scale (dashboards as mechanisms, SLIs/SLOs where applicable, alarms, runbooks, and automated checks).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams responsible for ingestion/ETL; contribute to ETL as a plus (Lambda, Step Functions, scheduling).

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of relevant experience delivering dashboards and analytics solutions in AWS.
• Strong SQL proficiency with experience building maintainable, production-grade query logic.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Athena and S3-based analytics workflows.
• Experience with QuickSight and/or CloudWatch dashboards (or comparable visualization tools integrated with AWS).
• Proficiency in TypeScript (expected usage mix approximately 60% TypeScript / 40% other technologies).
• Strong SDLC discipline: Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills; ability to drive issues to closure.
• Strong written communication (design notes, operational runbooks, incident summaries).
• Experience with AWS CDK (TypeScript) and Infrastructure as Code practices.

About the Role

We are hiring a Workday HR Technical Lead for a hands-on contract opportunity supporting a well-established organization in the medical device space. This is an individual contributor role focused on Workday configuration, integrations, business systems analysis, testing, and optimization across key HR functions.

This role will work closely with HR, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to enhance Workday capabilities, improve processes, and support scalable HR operations in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME across Workday modules including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Absence, and Time Tracking
• Lead hands-on Workday configuration, enhancements, optimization, and deployment of new functionality
• Support and troubleshoot Workday integrations including Core Connector, Studio, APIs, EIB, and third-party systems
• Gather requirements, map HR processes, document workflows, and translate business needs into functional solutions
• Develop and execute test plans, validation processes, and troubleshooting strategies for system issues and outages
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and data governance standards including FDA, SOX, GDPR, and audit readiness

Required Qualifications

Compensation: Massachusetts Pay Transparency:

• $70–$80/hour (W2 or C2C)

The Thermal Analyst will be a technical leader across multidisciplinary teams of engineers to create the best overall system design including thermal design, analysis, and test of optical systems operating in harsh space and ground environments.

The candidate will possess in-depth understanding of aerospace thermal engineering technology and payload architectures for spacecraft sub-systems and instruments.

These talents are used to direct and oversee teams who specialize in conductive, convective, and radiative analyses, understanding of heat pipes, radiative heat transfer, and thermal control hardware design (thermal blankets, surface treatments, heater tapes, thermistors) and the interaction with optical structures in order to minimize optical errors, and achieve operational temperatures.

The role requires utilizing state of the art custom software in conjunction with Thermal Desktop and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) packages and often mentor other Thermal Analysts in the use of such tools.

Essential Functions: System level thermal design & development, payload level integration and test, and risk mitigation for space-based environments Perform thermal design and analysis tasks on complex mechanical hardware including precision mechanisms, electro-mechanical devices, aerospace mechanism design, complex electronics packaging, supporting space-based deployable mechanisms, avionics, innovative thermal and ground based systems Create and analyze design concepts using thermal analysis software & FEA Defines and establishes the technical approach to meet assigned objective Directs, coordinates and provides assistance to engineering team in order to meet assigned objectives Program support also includes requirements derivation and verification, system architecture development, loads derivation, trade studies, design sensitivity/optimization studies, preliminary and final design analysis, generation of analysis documentation (including presentation materials, and deliverable data packages), and leading system test activities Organization of thermal design and analysis as an IPT lead; frequently interfacing directly with customer technical leads and management.
