Job Summary and QualificationsRole Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon achieve desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during, and after surgical intervention.
What qualifications you will need:
Required Education: Surgical Technologist: graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. If LPN in surgical Technologist role: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
Preferred Education: Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology
Required License: Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire.
LPN in Surgical Technologist role: current BCLS certification and current NC license.
Required Experience: Surgical Technologist: clinical experience in training program LPN in Surgical Technologist role: one-year experience in a Surgical Technologist role in an applicable acute care operating room setting or clinical experience in Surgical Technologist training program

We're looking for Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Asheville, NC. The right nurse should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.
As an ICU Travel Nurse, you'll be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting. ICU RNs provide the most direct care to patients in life-threatening situations, documenting and providing physician-directed care, assessing and implementing patient care plans, and delegating to other care providers as appropriate. As an ICU RN you will also be providing education and support to patient families, possibly for long-term care needs.
As an ICU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Provide basic bedside care.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
- Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
- Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
ICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. RNs may face hazards from exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases and will treat patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby. L&D RNs must ensure that the medical as well as emotional needs of their patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you'll be responsible for assisting physicians when epidurals or pain medications are administered, episiotomies are performed, or when the patient requires preparation for a cesarean delivery.
As an L&D Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
- Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
- Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
- Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after birthing process.
- Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
- Immediate care of newborn.

- Required Experience: Two years' experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated experience in hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring
