What You'll Get To Do
The Material Handler is focused on handling glass pieces and rotate them through the various phases of the tempering, laminating, cutting, or shipping processes and reports to the Department Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual with a strong attention to detail particularly in areas of safety, quality, and efficiency, strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment. A vital member of the Production Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Move glass product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily
- Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process
- Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
- Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
What We Are Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Must understand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical equations
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision
- Regular and predictable attendance, the safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job
