This CVOR OR Registered Nurse opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift position.  This dynamic individual will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations.  Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.  Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.  Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.  Participates in performance improvement activities.  Assesses operating room / procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.  Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship

• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
  
• Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students

Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.

This Registered Nurse PACU opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. This individual will function in PACU environment and provides direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations. This Float Pool Registered Nurse opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual who provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition. This Registered Nurse PACU opportunity is part time at 20 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This individual will function in PACU  environment.  Provides direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations.  Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.  Assists with the maintenance of PHA and PACU equipment and inventory.  Participates in performance improvement activities.  Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients undergoing surgical, pain management, and endoscopic procedures.  Responsible for monitoring patient’s physiological status in the immediate postoperative environment.  Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist immediately and as needed about patient condition; receives direction for patient management.  Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.  Proficient in pain management, guidelines and medication dosing.  Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR
• Perform head to toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients and reassesses post procedure as needed
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness. 
• Adequately assess and reassess pain.  Utilizes appropriate pain management techniquess.  
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care PACU setting.
• Current ACLS requireed.

This Emergency Dept Registered Nurse opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. This position provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.  Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
