The practice includes one physician and several experienced APPs and is part of a larger, collaborative campus of medical providers and services. This is a Monday through Friday role with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
Ideal candidates will have several years of experience in primary care, with the ability to work confidently and independently. Fluency in Portuguese is highly desirable given the local patient population.
What You?ll Do:
- Provide direct outpatient care to adult and adolescent patients in a team-based Family Medicine practice
- Work collaboratively under the supervision of a Family Medicine physician
- Manage routine exams, preventive care, chronic conditions, and acute visits
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)
- Participate in ongoing care coordination with in-house specialists and diagnostic services
What We?re Looking For:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
- Current DEA license and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
- Minimum of 4?5 years of primary care experience strongly preferred
- Confidence in independent patient care and sound clinical judgment
- Strong communication skills and professional maturity
- Fluency in Portuguese is a plus

Shift: Days 8A-8:30P M-F & 9A-5:30P Sat & Sun; Every other weekend & every other holiday

Responsibilities:
- Under direction of individually assigned Physician, Office Manager or Designee, perform a wide variety of patient care and related duties both within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
- Including, but not limited to taking patient histories, conduct physical exams, review past medical records, complete electronic health records, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; review results of studies and procedures and interpret results toward quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field is required.
- Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
- Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required.
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required or immediately pending.
- Current MA R.N. registration is required.
- Over 3 months experience.
- NP MA Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role.
- CME requirements as needed.
- Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.
- CME requirements as needed.
