Category Manager

We are looking for a strategic, data-driven Category Manager for a major retail company. You'll own and grow one or more product categories across both physical retail and digital channels. This role is responsible for building category strategies that deliver a consistent, customer-centric experience while driving revenue, margin, and inventory productivity across all touchpoints.

The ideal Category Manager candidate understands how assortment, pricing, and inventory decisions play out differently online and in-store, and knows how to optimize for both without sacrificing performance.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end omnichannel category strategy, including assortment, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle management across stores and e-commerce
• Develop category plans that balance store productivity with digital growth and customer demand
• Analyze performance across channels, using sales, margin, inventory, and customer data to drive decisions
• Partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Supply Chain, E-commerce, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution
• Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, line reviews, and performance optimization
• Optimize inventory flow and availability across channels, supporting initiatives such as ship-from-store, buy online pick up in store, and endless aisle
• Identify growth opportunities through trend analysis, customer insights, and competitive benchmarking
• Lead category reviews and present omnichannel insights and recommendations to senior leadership

• Familiarity with retail systems such as ERP, merchandising, planning, and allocation tools
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus

* Develop estimates for design-build, TFO, preventative maintenance agreements, and repairs of all roof types

* Ability to diagnose roof leaks and deficiencies on all types of roof systems

* Provide outstanding customer service to potential and existing customers

* Generate new business

* Project Management from inception to completion and timely follow-up

* Project a professional company image both in person and on the phone

Qualifications:

* 5 years experience in the roofing/construction industry

* Bachelor's degree preferred, but will accept construction experience in lieu of

* Previous experience with Single Ply Membrane, Built-Up Roof Systems, Shingle Roof Systems and Metal Roof Systems is required

* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

* Excellent communication skills; both internal and external

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

* Must possess a valid driver's license

* Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits of prospects/referrals and determines LHC rate requirements as it relates to in or out of network coverage on a daily basis in an accurate and timely manner. Communicates patient benefits in a timely manner using the appropriate legacy system and associated software application as found in patient notes, tasks, workflow, email and or phone calls with our agencies. Documents and forwards patient deductible, out-of-pocket expense, lifetime maximum, home health or hospice days, and patient responsibility to agency in an accurate and timely manner. Reviews and replies to branch location's urgent requests in a timely and accurate manner. Initiates one time letters of agreement (LOAs) and negotiates rates as dictated by established policies and procedures in a timely manner. Obtains all authorization as needed from payer for services ordered/requested in a timely manner. Documents specific details related to the authorization including effective and end dates using the appropriate legacy system and associated software application via patient notes, authorizations, tasks, workflow, phone calls and/or email. Serves as a liaison between the branch location and the payer on a regular basis. Coordinates and communicates with the branch location regarding any changes or updates from the payer in a timely manner. Manages work assignment to ensure all tasks and coordination notes are completed in a timely manner. Resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner. Problem solves independently before referring issues to the Supervisor/Manager for resolution. Performs eligibility and or similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.

Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1 year Insurance verification and authorization experience required. Revenue cycle experience desired.
