JOB SUMMARY:
This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.

β€’ Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
β€’ Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
β€’ Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
β€’ Assists with patient transfers
β€’ Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
β€’ Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
β€’ Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
β€’ Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
β€’ Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
β€’ Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
β€’ Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
β€’ Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
