Our client is a leading global OEM in environmental and climate systems, seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support installations and service of their advanced humidification, dehumidification, and control equipment across the U.S.
This role requires extensive weekday travel (up to 80%), with technicians typically home on weekends. Overtime is available and regularly earned, adding to total compensation. Key Responsibilities
- Commission, install, and maintain OEM humidification and water treatment systems
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, valves, sensors, and mechanical components

Electrical Engineer - Data Centers - Northern Virginia / D.C. Area (Hybrid)

This Electrical Engineer position will specialize in data center facility design to be embedded directly with a major end-user client.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing third-party and colocation facilities being considered for acquisition, evaluating their suitability against the client's portfolio requirements.
- Taking ownership of power systems across all project phases, identifying and resolving issues as they arise in collaboration with the relevant client stakeholders.
- Reviewing data center designs with a critical eye on redundancy architecture, availability targets, and potential single points of failure.
- Working closely with operations, planning, and energy strategy teams to push electrical solutions forward on third-party data center projects.
- Conducting technical due diligence and maintaining quality standards in line with client expectations.
- Keeping internal documentation, specs, and standards current based on live project feedback and lessons learned.
- Liaising with internal teams on power loading, rack deployment, and load balancing within shared facilities.
- Contributing to cross-discipline coordination with mechanical and controls engineers, and supporting consistency across regional teams.
Background Required
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering; a postgraduate qualification or PE license would be a strong advantage.
- At least five years working within mission-critical environments, with solid hands-on exposure to colocation and multi-tenant data center projects specifically.
- Confident in power systems analysis and the software tools that come with it.
- Practical experience across the full electrical distribution stack — from high voltage transformers down to branch circuits — covering design, procurement, commissioning, and operations.
- Comfortable working across disciplines and engaging with structural, mechanical, civil, and IT/Telecom teams as needed.
- Grounded in US electrical codes and standards, with some awareness of IEC standards beneficial.

Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:
- Ideal candidates will possess welding experience with GMAW, GMAW-P and SMAW
- Performs welding processes on carbon steel (OSS, HSS, HY, HSLA, etc.) assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals, metal alloys and with various joint configurations.
- Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Oxy/Fuel pre-heat and carbon arc gouging, occasional mirror welding. Verifying weld size using weld gauges.
- Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with SSP's or MDD's.
- Requires occasional heavy lifting up to 45lbs multiple times during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Requires occasional bending from waist, crouching, kneeling and crawling periodically during an 8-to-12-hour shift.
- Requires occasional climbing ladders up to 25 feet at a time.
- Requires occasional working in confined space work environment with the potential of extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure during an 8-to-12-hour shift.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight; have working knowledge of precision calibration tools (weld gauges), be able to operate multiple types of welding equipment, and possess good trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work multiple shifts.
- Able to read and interpret drawings, technique sheets and weld symbols.
- Ability pass respirator fit-check and wearing of respirator for portions of or all of an 8 to 12-hour shift or as required. Must be clean shaven for fit-check and dawning of respirator. Must be able to comply with respirator fit-testing requirements. Clean-shaven status may be required in accordance with OSHA respirator safety standards. - Flexible, willing to work long hours, safety oriented.
- Experience with the fabrication of submarine parts and modules is preferred.
Weld Test Requirements:
- GMAW-SP & GMAW-P
- GMAW-P will be 3 position plate tests with MIL-100S-1 wire; GMAW-SP will be in 2G position with MIL-100S-1 wire.
- Welding tests will be bent immediately after the test
- Further volumetric welding tests will be given to mimic hull penetration and liner installations.
- Successful completion of volumetric weld tests is required for X-Ray placement.
Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).
