PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The physicist uses their knowledge of physics to develop and us medical radiation treatment, devices, and technologies.

Their responsibilities include planning radiation treatments, ensuring patients receive the correct dose, and directly participating in a patient's diagnosis and treatment.

Working in radiotherapy physics, the physicist will be responsible for the precision and accuracy of treatments by sing advanced computer calculations to develop individual patient treatment plans.

The physicist will use images of the cancer to outline target volume.

In addition, the physicist will ensure equipment in safe, effective, and working properly, and maintaining it at high quality standards, while performing QA and troubleshooting.

The physicist will study how radiation affects the body, researching new treatment options, and developing new safety procedures.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Responsible for maintaining and executing the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance and Safety program (policies and procedures) for radiation therapy and provides appropriate support to staff in this regard.

Performs daily, monthly and annual quality assurance testing on all linear accelerators, CT simulators and treatment planning systems in accordance with local/state/federal regulations.

Serves as point of contact for consulting on equipment downtime.

Duty 8.

Responsible for oversight of dosimetrist to include plan reviews for each patient.

Assists dosimetrist in planning as necessary and is responsible for quality assurance of each patient plan including special quality assurance for IMRT planning.

Participates in weekly chart round reviews.

Duty 9.

Performs dosimetry functions in the absence of dosimetrist Duty 10.

Present at machine for all HyperArc/SBRT/SRS/SRT, high dose treatments and any other treatments as determined by the radiation oncologists.

Responsible for commissioning and maintaining of HyperArc & stereotactic machine model in treatment planning system.

Serves as point of contact for all surveys related to radiation safety from regulatory bodies.

Performs weekly patient chart reviews and is responsible for Maintenance of all records pertaining to patient consults and quality assurance as needed.

Duty 13.

Responsible for all physics test credentialing, planning, and oversight of RTOG protocol participation.

Initiates, implements and performs procedures if program is seeking additional treatment types, accreditations or certifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master of Science degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics, radiological physics, nuclear engineering or health physics Minimum of two years of clinical experience, either through previous work experience, or clinical Radiation Oncology Residency.

Eligible for American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification at a minimum.

If not currently ABR certified, ABR certification must be obtained within 3 years of hire.

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The Patient Observer role provides constant bedside observation and monitoring for assigned patients to ensure safety and prevention of injury.

The Patient Observer functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse responsible for the assigned patient’s care.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Receives SBAR from RN responsible for the patient’s care.

Information will include any patient specific behaviors that require close monitoring.

Duty 2: The Patient Observer will courteously greet patients.

Identifies self, and explains role.

Duty 3: Ensures patient safety by assisting patient within boundaries of role and promptly requests assistance of the Registered Nurse or other members of the nursing care team when needed.

Duty 4: Reports all observed changes in patient status or condition to the Registered Nurse.

Duty 5: Assists patient with meals as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Duty 6: Does not leave patient’s bedside unless relieved by another staff member.

Duty 7: Immediately notifies Registered Nurse if tubes, IVs, catheters, or any other medical device becomes disconnected.

Duty 8: Accompanies patient to other areas of hospital for diagnostic testing or upon transfer to other units.

Duty 9: Maintains a safe, orderly environment in the patient’s room.

Duty 10: Constantly evaluates the patient’s environment for possible hazards such as water spilled on floor, items blocking path to restroom, etc.

and removes those hazards immediately.

Duty 11: Promotes infection control by washing hands before and after all patient contact.

Duty 12: Follows isolation procedures according to Infection Control Isolation policy.

Duty 13: Assists patient in use of call system, bed controls, television controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit/department.

The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status.

Must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the area’s policies and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous healthcare experience preferred BLS certification highly encouraged PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and standing.

The associate will be required to lift 50 pounds or more.

This position requires individuals to lift work above the shoulders.

- $2,500 PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate total nursing care for residents.

Participates in resident and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in a clinical setting REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Current Ohio license for nursing.

Must be able to work any area of the facility at any time during shift PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Maximum exposure in regard to universal precautions.

Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to needs of the residents served on his/her neighborhood.

The individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles related to the aging adult and problems associated with aging.

Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the resident status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each residents need.

Provide care needed as directed by policy and procedure within the scope of an LPN/RN license.
