Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Active Ohio license
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
- Daily- 4 MDs, 18 CRNAs at hospital; 1 MD 3 CRNAs at ASC
- Medical direction 1:3 or 1:4 but CRNAs pretty autonomous, great relationship with MDs
- Cases- regional, trauma, bread and butter, pretty much everything except transplants, peds, & OB, (locums don't do CV).
- Call- Beeper from home - CRNA- 1st, 2nd, 3rd is 24hr shift (not extra), not 3rd layer of call. Technically 2 layers of pager call, no post call day off.
- Call back is not that often actually very rare. Once you are done for the night you are usually home.
- $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
- $Competitive Rate weeknight call + Premium if called in, Weekend Call equals 6 Regular Hours Per Day + Premium When Called In.

100 Emancipation Drive Hampton, VA Responsibilities: Emergency physicians shall provide immediate medical evaluation, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and/or referral of patients who present for care in the ED "Present for care" includes patients referred to the Emergency Department by other medical providers in the VA Healthcare Facility system (such as outpatient clinics, outlying clinics, ED Fast track, inpatient, etc.).
The ED physician shall provide professional advice to other VA providers with regard to professional management of patients being treated and/or hospitalized.
The Contractor physician shall be a resource for contract providers and manage patients in the fast track portion of the Emergency Department as well.
The Contractor physician care shall cover the range of emergency room care typically provided in an urban civilian practice of similar size.
The following list is an example of the types of cases, but is not all-inclusive: Major trauma, including fractures of multiple extremities, stab wounds, open wounds of the chest and abdomen, head trauma, suspected spine injuries, lacerations, amputations; Major medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, shock; Obstetrical emergencies such as deliveries of single or multiple births, acute pregnancy complications, vaginal bleeding; Our Labor and Delivery Unit is on Long Term Divert.
When possible, we have an OB provider (CNM, FP/OB) on resource call.
Pediatric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitations; Acute psychiatric problems, including suicide attempts; Lower-acuity complaints including viral illnesses, other infections, minor orthopedic problems, minor trauma, alcohol abuse (i.e., "urgent care" patients);.
Other miscellaneous medical problems both acute and chronic.
Requirements: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S.
State or Territory ABEM-Certification preferred, but other Board Certifications are acceptable with no less than 2 years of full-time ER experience in a high volume ED (Other qualifying certifications: Internal medicine, Family practice, Internal medicine/pediatrics, general surgery.) Must be an M.D.
or D.O.
and be capable of treating patients of all ages.
