GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides perioperative patient care, specifically in the intraoperative phase, in both the scrub and circulating roles according to established guidelines. Serves the population from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. This position requires call, weekends, nights and Holidays as scheduled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction. - Prepares for surgical cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and other O.R. team members. - Provides a safe environment for patient and staff by implementing standards of aseptic technique and by controlling the physical and psychological aspects of that environment. - Collects and analyzes data and assesses patient in developing nursing diagnosis. - Communicates effectively with the patient, staff, physicians, and families. - Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and function. - Initiates and directs room clean up and turnover.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: - Participates in orientation and training of new personnel. - Assists in maintenance of physician's preference cards and other O.R. resource material. - Utilizes computer in surgical documentation, disposition of specimens and obtaining pertinent information. - Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities as appropriate. - Attends department meetings and inservices.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.Operating Room experience preferred.Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.Ability to read, write and speak English language.

Job Overview:
The Sanctuary of Holy Cross, a respected long-term care facility in South Bend, is seeking an experienced MDS (Minimum Data Set) Nurse Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the MDS process to ensure timely and accurate completion for each resident in accordance with state and federal regulations. The MDS Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in assessing the clinical condition of residents, ensuring proper care planning, and maximizing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the assessment and data collection process for the MDS, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct regular resident assessments, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and complete MDS forms within required timelines.
- Monitor and ensure accurate coding of MDS items to reflect residents' conditions.
- Participate in care planning meetings, providing recommendations based on MDS data to enhance resident care and treatment plans.
- Oversee the submission of MDS assessments to the appropriate databases (i.e., the RAI and QIES systems).
- Ensure that MDS assessments are completed in a timely manner, and provide staff training when necessary.

Our Diagnostic Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, according to approved protocols, ultrasound exposure, safety, and established exam indicators. Schedules and obtains history from patients. Evaluates the appropriateness of requested exams and assist radiologists. Maintains knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams. Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity. Description:
- Responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the physical therapy care and treatment of patients in an effective and professional manner in accordance with Maryland State law and the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Practice and Ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality care.
- Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from the neonates through the geriatric patient.
- Therapists utilize the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patients’ age to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Additional training may be required to work with specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice.
- Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
What you will need:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school with a B.S., M.S. or D.P.T. degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Maryland license verified by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Current BLS (issued through the American Heart Association)
- Acute care experience required
- Must be able to evaluate and treat patients in any hospital unit within professional scope of practice ads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language
- Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems.
- Acute care experience highly preferred.
Pay Range: $35.41 – $54.19
