* Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Order and interpret necessary diagnostic imaging studies.
* Prescribe and administer a variety of external beam radiation therapy modalities, including conventional radiotherapy, 3D radiotherapy, SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy), 3D-CRT (conformal radiation therapy), IGRT (image-guided radiation therapy), and IMRT (intensity-modulated radiation therapy).
* Monitor patient progress throughout treatment and adjust treatment plans as needed.
* Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families regarding treatment options and potential side effects.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Aria electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
* Active and unrestricted New York (NY) medical license is required. Board certification in Radiation Oncology is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
* Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. ACLS certification is a plus but not mandatory.
* Experience in utilizing various external beam radiation therapy modalities, including those listed above (SBRT, 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT).
* Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in radiation oncology.
