Job Summary
CB3 is a medical-surgical unit, specializing in the care of liver and kidney transplant patients pre and post-surgery. The unit is one of the most diverse units in the organization caring for a diverse mix of complex medical and complex surgical patients.
Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.

The Float Pool at Hartford Hospital, also known as the STAR Team, is comprised of experienced, highly skilled Nursing professionals. Registered Nurses on the STAR Team have a variety of skills, allowing them to transition from one specialty to another with confidence and ease. Our team is broken down into two groups, Med/Surg and Critical Care. The Med/Surg team floats between approximately 18 units (including the Step Down units) while our Critical Care RNs primarily float between the six ICUs at Hartford Hospital (MICU, SICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU and Cardiothoracic ICU). Our RNs rely on extensive nursing skills, strong communication and collaboration skills to assimilate seamlessly into different units and provide the highest levels of personalized, compassionate care to our patients.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and quality of Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments by reviewing for regulatory and policy adherence. The individual in this role provides clinical staff with guidance on documentation, utilization, and patient care decisions to support optimal clinical and operational outcomes. They review visit utilization for care appropriateness and collaborate with clinicians on necessary modifications, reporting any potential over or underutilization to leadership. The role requires timely completion of workflows in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and flexibility to meet agency needs.
Collaboration with teams is key to identifying trends and developing action plans to address them. Participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives is expected, along with supporting the agencyβs compliance with data submission requirements for regulatory and payor standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews OASIS assessments for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance, providing recommendations to ensure quality and reliability.
Guides staff on clinical, documentation, and utilization decisions to improve OASIS accuracy and care quality, recommending cost-effective corrections that support clinical and operational goals.
Reviews visit utilization for appropriate patient care, collaborates and consults clinicians on needed adjustments, and reports utilization concerns and financial risks to the clinical manager. Ensures timely completion of HCHB workflows and maintains a flexible schedule to support agency needs.
Collaborates to identify documentation trends, supports improvement planning, participates in quality initiatives, and helps ensure compliance and accurate data submissions across all settings.
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited educational program leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Required
Bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree in PT, OT, SLP preferredΒ

Position Description:
The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room. Participates in patient teaching; incorporates the needs and behavior of the patientβs specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.
The Core Operating Room (OR) provides care to a diverse group of patients across multiple surgical specialties. These specialties include general surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), colorectal, oral maxillofacial, trauma, transplant, vascular access, bariatrics, urology, gynecology, thoracic, and robotics. The Core OR team is also responsible for ensuring 24/7 operating room coverage, offering staff a range of alternative scheduling options. Job Summary
Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. North 11 is a surgical unit with private rooms, is comprised of Neurosurgical and Trauma patients. There is room for growth and development, as nurses are eventually cross trained into the Center 11 an epilepsy unit. The nurses on North 11 are also Stroke Certified.

Job Description:
Position includes recovering patients from anesthesia as well as managing postoperative care, including recovery from general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and IV sedation. We are a 28 bed PACU, providing service to a variety of surgical services, such as general surgery, urology, gynecology, neurosurgery including spine surgery, plastic surgery, thoracic and vascular surgery, cardiac procedures (TAVR), bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT and OMF surgery. Also included is managing the recovery of GI advanced procedure patients as well as outpatient colonoscopy and endoscopy patients.Β We are a fast paced unit receiving patients from 40+ operating rooms and we provide service 24/7.Β ICU experience is preferred although we will consider nurses with ED, Step-down and floor level experience on an individual basis.Β ACLS certification is required for external candidates as we frequently care for ICU and step-down patients. Nurse/Patient ratio is 2:1. We are looking for candidates with a positive outlook, an open mind and a βcan-doβ attitude.

JOB SUMMARYΒ
The Triage Nurse is a member of the care team, responsible for using decision making skills to assess patient needs. The Triage Nurse will apply clinical knowledge and judgment and use decision making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues. The RN will be providing clinical support in assessment of symptoms, determination of symptom acuity, offering information related to symptom management, patient education and care coordinator. As the scope of the Access Center increases over time, the triage RN will take on responsibilities which are consistent with the scope of practice.Β Β

Job Summary
CB2Β serves the medical oncology population of the organization and commonly includes: solid tumor cancer patients, hematological cancer patients, acute leukemia and lymphoma patients, and benign hematology patients, along with the provision of hospice and end of life care.Β The unit also services the needs of a variety of med-surg overflow patients when necessary and appropriate.
Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
