Details Post Surgical Unit (4E) in an acute care hospital setting Patients are pre- and post-operative surgical cases, including ENT and transplant patients Care involves patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT, and DHT Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for Stepdown patients Some patients require Stepdown-level care Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week) 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Acute care surgical floor experience required Stepdown/PCU experience required OR (operating room) candidates will not be considered Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred ENT and/or transplant experience preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Responsibilities include managing assigned patient groups, documenting responses to nursing interventions, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply, as prior workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after accepting an offer All AHA certifications must be current and issued by the American Heart Association only BSN from a board-approved program is preferred American Traveler Job ID P-680216.
